Franklin Templeton's digital assets division, @FTDA_US, is hiring for senior crypto roles. The headline listing is a Head of Digital Asset Product Strategy, with a base salary of $220,000 to $260,000 plus bonus.
Five roles across the crypto business
The openings cover five positions. Three are leadership roles: head of digital asset product strategy, head of Franklin Crypto fundraising and head of Franklin Crypto private credit. The other two are a digital audience engagement project manager and a vice president of business development for crypto markets.Application links were posted in replies to the announcement.
The listings fit a wider push by the asset manager into digital assets. Franklin Templeton formally established Franklin Crypto, its dedicated active digital asset management division, when it closed its acquisition of 250 Digital.Franklin Crypto offers institutional investors actively managed cryptocurrency strategies, combining the former 250 Digital team's investment capabilities with Franklin Templeton's global distribution. The roles in capital formation and private credit suggest the unit is building out fundraising and lending-related products, though the firm has not detailed its plans in the listings reviewed.
The hiring follows a run of product launches in crypto. The Franklin Crypto Index ETF (EZPZ) was the firm's third digital asset exchange-traded product in just over a year, after the Franklin Bitcoin ETF (EZBC) and the Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET).EZPZ has since expanded beyond $BTC and $ETH to include XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano, Stellar Lumens and Chainlink.
Institutional demand for active crypto strategies
Franklin Templeton says it has been building digital asset expertise since 2018. The firm says it launched the industry's first on-chain money market fund and has funded blockchain start-ups.Sandy Kaul, head of innovation at Franklin Templeton, told CNBC that institutions are becoming more intentional in how they engage with digital assets, and that demand is becoming more serious, more informed and more targeted.
The firm operates at scale. It had $1.78 trillion in assets under management as of May 31, 2026, and operates in more than 35 countries. A senior hiring drive in crypto from an asset manager of that size points to continued institutional interest in the sector, even as prices have been volatile.
