In Brief:
- XRP gained over 12%, breaking the $1.081 resistance as stronger buying momentum pushed its price toward the $1.12 region.
- XRP’s four-hour RSI reached 87.6, signaling overbought conditions as buyers turned their attention toward the key $1.145 resistance level.
- Holding $1.08 as support could preserve XRP’s breakout structure, while clearing $1.145 could strengthen the pathway toward the $1.20 target.
XRP has posted impressive gains over the last 24 hours, surging by over 12%, pushing the price above the $1.081 resistance level. The surge was catalyzed by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse‘s presence at a White House event where President Dolad Trump urged Congress to pass the Clarity ACT. The meeting included several major cryptocurrency executives and centered partly on U.S. digital asset legislation.
XRP climbed toward $1.12 during the period, ending a streak of price compression that had kept the cryptocurrency around the $1.00 region. According to crypto analyst Diana, breaking $1.081 represented an important technical development because that level had previously restricted XRP’s attempts to move higher.
Moreover, the cryptocurrency moved above major moving averages as buyers strengthened their position across shorter timeframes. Garlinghouse’s presence at the White House attracted attention across the XRP community, partly contributing to the price increase.
XRP Breakout Puts $1.145 Resistance Into View
XRP’s move through $1.081 has shifted attention toward $1.145, which Diana identified as the next significant resistance level. A convincing break above that price could provide XRP with room to extend its advance toward the $1.20 region.
However, momentum indicators suggest that traders may also need to watch for increased volatility following the rapid rally. According to her analysis, XRP’s four-hour Relative Strength Index climbed to approximately 87.6 during the uptrend.

An RSI reading above 70 generally signals overbought conditions, while XRP’s substantially higher reading reflects unusually strong buying momentum. Consequently, buyers face the challenge of maintaining the breakout while XRP trades with an already elevated momentum reading.
What Comes Next for XRP Price
The $1.08 region could become particularly important if XRP pulls back from its current price area. Holding above that former resistance would strengthen the argument that XRP has successfully converted the breakout level into support.
Additionally, sustained buying pressure could allow XRP to challenge $1.145 before traders shift their attention toward the $1.20 target. A move below $1.08, however, could weaken the technical setup and draw attention back to XRP’s previous consolidation area.
The $1.00 region would become increasingly important under that scenario because it previously provided the base for XRP’s breakout. Therefore, $1.08 and $1.145 represent the immediate technical boundaries as traders assess whether XRP can extend its 12% advance.
