A new name joins a bullish analyst crowd
Chardan's initiation adds another voice to what has already been a strongly bullish analyst picture for HIVE. Recent price targets from other firms have ranged as high as $10, with most maintaining Buy ratings and double- or triple-digit upside estimates.
Canaccord Genuity holds a $10 target, implying 257% upside, while B. Riley Securities and Cantor Fitzgerald have both set $7 to $8 targets after recent revisions upward.

TipRanksFirms including H.C. Wainwright, Northland Securities, and Lucid Capital have also reiterated Buy ratings this year, with targets ranging from $6 to $8.
KBW remains the lone Hold-rated firm covering the stock, having trimmed its target from $5 to $4.50 in its most recent update, though even that figure still implies more than 60% upside from current levels.
The business behind the bullish targets
Chardan said HIVE gives investors exposure to Bitcoin mining while also diversifying into AI and high-performance computing through its GPU cloud service platform and colocation business, according to Investing.com.
The firm noted HIVE is positioned to serve the Canadian sovereign AI market and holds the flexibility to repurpose its existing data center assets for other uses as demand shifts.

The company has also been expanding its physical footprint, agreeing to acquire a 32 megawatt data center in Boden, Sweden, and announcing a 320 megawatt sovereign AI infrastructure project in the Greater Toronto Area.
