Dogecoin begins the week on a much more positive note compared to where it was a few months back. The DOGE price is currently at $0.070, which places it right above its lows within the present range and far below the $0.11 level reached in May 2026.
July was mostly a month of steady weakness, and the DOGE chart still shows a long series of lower highs and lower lows. That is why this week feels important. The market is trying to decide whether $0.07 is becoming a meaningful floor or whether the downtrend still has another leg lower in it.
What Could Move DOGE This Week?
The most important issue in the news today does not originate from social media; rather, it comes from housing policies in America.
Dogegod shared that The Federal Housing Finance Agency has instructed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to conduct research to determine whether cryptocurrency deposited at American exchanges can be considered as a reserve asset in mortgage risk analysis without being converted into dollars first.
That does not mean Dogecoin is suddenly being accepted for home loans tomorrow. It does mean regulators are beginning to look at crypto holdings through a more traditional financial lens. For the DOGE price, that is a more concrete narrative than the usual meme-coin speculation.
Institutional flows are still mixed. Spot Dogecoin ETFs remain live, but July data showed net outflows of about $525,980, and total assets are still around $10 million. At the same time, whale activity has remained active, with roughly 1.1 billion DOGE worth about $77 million moving between large wallets.

What Is the DOGE Chart Showing?
We did take a look at the DOGE chart, and while the overall structure remains bearish, the price is currently trading below all major moving averages, including the 200-day SMA around the $0.095 level, hence, there is no confirmation of a change in the longer-term trend direction yet.
Source: TradingViewWhile the momentum is low, it does not seem to be deteriorating. The daily RSI indicator is currently around 41.6, below the neutral 50 level, yet still far away from being oversold. Additionally, a small bullish divergence was formed on the chart around the recent lows, which signals of a weakening selling pressure rather than its acceleration.
At this point in time, it is the $0.07 level that really matters. Below the roughly $0.069 price level, traders may expect to see a move towards the $0.06 and $0.05 levels. A recovery above the $0.073 price level would be the first sign of holding of the support area.
Where the DOGE Price Could Go This Week
From now on, it seems that the best-case scenario for the next few days is range trading in the $0.069-$0.073 range unless some kind of catalyst emerges. In terms of the positive scenario, things are rather clear, a clean breakout above the $0.073 level would probably take the DOGE price to the $0.075-$0.078 range.
This is where all rallies have stalled in the last few weeks, and so it is the first place traders will focus on if there is some kind of profit taking action. The bearish scenario is a clear breakdown of $0.069, which will probably lead to another decline towards the $0.060-$0.065 range.
My best guess is that the DOGE price will spend most of the week defending the $0.07 level. There is a new story about housing finance, but I see no confirmation in the chart yet until at least the $0.073 level is reclaimed by bulls.
