Board Opens Formal Review, Engages Investment Bank
Hyperscale Data (NYSE American: $GPUS), the AI data center company anchored by Bitcoin, has launched a formal strategic review of its Michigan campus. The board is considering a variety of options to maximize stockholder value, including a potential sale or lease of a portion or all of the data center for cash, a strategic investment, a joint venture, or continued ownership and development of the assets. The company has also begun working with an investment bank to explore those options.
The board believes the company's current public market valuation does not adequately reflect the value of its assets, contractual opportunities, and businesses. The review aims to maximize stockholder value by comparing strategic transactions against long-term standalone economics, though the company notes there is no assurance any deal will occur.
A $1.2 Billion Deal With a Path to $3 Billion
Alongside the review, @hyperscaledata has flagged a significant commercial agreement underpinning the site's value. Alliance Cloud Services, its subsidiary, signed a 10-year agreement with a California-based neocloud AI provider on June 24, 2026, covering 20 megawatts of compute capacity, expected to go live in the fourth quarter of 2026.With two five-year extensions, the deal could bring in more than $1.2 billion. The customer also holds an option for an additional 32 megawatts, and if exercised within two years and extended through both renewal periods, total contract revenue could top $3 billion.
The Michigan facility is a 617,000-square-foot building in Dowagiac that Hyperscale Data has operated as a Bitcoin mining site for years through Alliance Cloud Services. The campus is being developed with a long-term target of up to 340 megawatts of power capacity.
On the balance sheet, @hyperscaledata holds 961 $BTC. The company has been actively managing that treasury to fund campus development. Management has reiterated a strategy of using Bitcoin as collateral to support capital allocation toward AI-focused data center operations.
