@injective has released the first public demo of CypherOS, its native on-chain privacy layer designed to bring confidential transfers, trading, and tokenization to the Injective blockchain. The clip shows a wallet moving tokens into a shielded balance before sending them privately to a second address.
What CypherOS Is Designed to Do
Injective is a Layer 1 blockchain built with trading and institutional-scale activity in mind, and CypherOS is its native on-chain privacy layer. The project has outlined three headline features: confidential trading, shielded transactions, and private request-for-quote (RFQ) flows.
The RFQ privacy component is particularly relevant for large traders. Broadcasting a big order on a public chain can invite front-running, where others jump ahead of the trade to profit from the expected price move. Privacy at the RFQ stage is designed to close that window.
Where Things Stand
Injective confirmed CypherOS as a native on-chain privacy layer following the successful Meridian mainnet upgrade, which went live on September 24, 2026.The Meridian upgrade passed governance with roughly 99% staker support.
On September 25, Injective formally confirmed CypherOS as a native privacy layer for shielded transactions and private RFQ flows.According to Injective's own disclosures, CypherOS is designed to cover three areas: shielded transactions, confidential trading, and private RFQ execution flows, with the private RFQ testnet alpha set as the first live test surface.
No full launch date has been announced. The current release remains a demo, with broader availability dependent on the outcomes of testnet testing.
