Injective has brought $INJ to Backpack Wallet on Solana, giving users the ability to hold, send, receive, and swap the token directly through the wallet. The move is part of a broader push by Injective to establish a native presence on Solana rather than relying on wrapped or bridged representations of the token.
The project's native INJ token is now live on Solana as an SPL token, listed on Sunrise, a trading platform connected to Backpack Securities, opening the door for Solana users to trade, provide liquidity, and build with INJ directly on the network.
Until now, accessing INJ on Solana meant routing through bridges to Injective's Cosmos-based Layer 1 blockchain. Solana users can now interact with INJ the same way they would any other token on the network, no bridging required.
Sunrise, built by Wormhole Labs, acts as a unified token gateway for Solana. Injective's INJ is now a canonical SPL token on Solana, listed via Sunrise, Wormhole Labs' NTT gateway. Rather than letting each bridge produce its own wrapped representation of INJ with separate mint addresses and fragmented liquidity, Sunrise creates one universally recognised SPL token address per asset.
The Backpack Wallet integration is one piece of a wider rollout. INJ is now swappable on Jupiter Exchange, giving Solana users direct access to the asset without needing wrapped versions or cross-chain workarounds. The integration went live on September 17, 2026, powered by Injective's deployment on Solana through the Sunrise bridge. Jupiter's routing engine aggregates liquidity from more than 20 Solana DEXes, including Raydium, Orca, and Meteora.
INJ has a total supply cap of 100 million tokens, with staking on the native Injective network reaching an all-time high of 58.8 million tokens around the time of the Solana listing.The initial on-chain supply for the SPL token sits between 131,000 and 140,000 tokens as of mid-September 2026, consistent with a controlled rollout rather than a full market debut.
$INJ is now live on Injective, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana. The Backpack Wallet listing adds a consumer-facing entry point to that multi-chain footprint, connecting Injective's liquidity to one of Solana's most prominent wallet interfaces.
