Jason Calacanis, an early Uber investor and co-host of the All-In podcast, called on his social media followers to sell their bitcoin holdings and invest in artificial intelligence instead. Posting on X on Tuesday, Calacanis argued that “a brutal year for Bitcoin is just getting started.”

Calacanis’ Bitcoin Outlook

Calacanis presented three specific predictions in his statement. First, he anticipated a continuation of outflows from bitcoin exchange-traded funds. Second, he forecasted that bitcoin’s price would again test the $57,000 low within the next 12 months. Third, he said he did not expect the cryptocurrency to surpass its previous all-time high again.

Just sell and shift from Bitcoin to Super Intelligence because one provides little to no value, and the other provides unlimited upside for humanity.

According to CoinGecko, bitcoin traded around $79,787 on Tuesday, approximately 37% below its record high of $126,080 reached on October 6, 2025. The digital asset’s lowest level in the past year was about $58,566, registered on July 1, 2026, based on CoinGecko’s daily price data. Intraday trading may have seen further declines.

ETF Outflows and Market Context

SoSoValue data revealed that US spot bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of roughly $202.1 million in October through October 26. This activity included ten days of inflows and eight days of outflows. The largest single-day outflow, about $635.5 million, occurred on October 22, just after receiving $528.4 million in inflows the previous day.

Calacanis maintained that there are now “far too many dynamic places to put your money that are creating MUCH more value,” describing bitcoin as a network “that offers nothing beyond a store of value.” He stated that “no one is trying to convince people to buy Bitcoin anymore,” pointing out the decline in memes and NFTs that once fueled investor interest.

Support for AI and Bittensor

Calacanis said he was optimistic about Bittensor, a decentralized network for artificial intelligence models, whose token trades under the symbol TAO. In a reply to his original post, he praised Bittensor’s approach to scaling AI solutions.

He has maintained a skeptical stance toward bitcoin for years. In August, Calacanis questioned whether bitcoin would ever reach $1 million or even $250,000, and expressed skepticism over Michael Saylor’s strategy at Strategy, saying it “broke the game of bitcoin by trying to corner the market.” His criticism continued into September, when he likened bitcoin’s movement near $81,000 to a dead cat bounce, comments that drew reactions from both Saylor and ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood. Back in 2018, Calacanis estimated a 60% to 70% probability that bitcoin would fall to zero, at which point it traded near $3,700.

Meme Token Market Activity

While bitcoin faces investor skepticism and volatile ETF flows, tracking alternative digital asset segments remains important for market monitoring. In the meme token market, an internet trend can transform into millions of dollars of interest within days. Fomo App data highlighted a trade involving “Niu Lai” that turned a $99 investment into approximately $370,000, illustrating the dramatic possibilities in this space. Monitoring both the timing and token preferences of investors is considered essential in this fast-moving sector. Fomo App integrates token discovery and trading with social features, investor rankings, and trade notifications, allowing users to follow meme tokens and observe investor activity in real time.
