Jessexbt AI: Jesse Pollak’s Scalable Mentor for Base Builders
Jesse Pollak receives over 100 DMs daily from builders seeking advice. He couldn’t scale his mentorship alone. So he built an AI clone of himself.
Meet jessexbt — an official artificial intelligence assistant designed to act as a digital mentor for developers on the Base blockchain. Created in collaboration with the AI team a0x, this tool delivers actionable feedback aligned with Pollak’s product-building philosophy.
Background and Development
Launched on November 6, 2025, after six months of development, jessexbt emerged from a partnership between Pollak and a0x — a finalist in the “Base Batches 001” accelerator program. The motivation was clear: Pollak wanted to provide deep, personalized guidance to every builder, but human bandwidth has limits.
“I get 100+ DMs a day and I try to answer, but I can never go as deep as I want,” Pollak stated in his announcement. “So I spent 6mo building jessexbt with a0x to give a smart, helpful, based jesse to every builder.”
To incentivize engagement and improve the AI, Pollak launched a contest from November 6 to November 12, 2025. Three builders who shared their projects with the bot would win a 15-minute one-on-one call with Pollak himself.
Purpose and Features
The AI was trained on Pollak’s public posts from X, the Base app, Instagram, his personal blog, and private guidance he’s shared with builders. This rich dataset allows jessexbt to provide feedback that mirrors Pollak’s actual thinking.
Builders can access the assistant via:
- Farcaster: @jessexbt
- Base App: Messaging jessexbt.base.eth
- Telegram: @jessexbtbasebot
Submit your project, and receive actionable recommendations for improvement — all aligned with the principles that made Pollak a successful founder.
The Unofficial ‘jessexbt’ Meme Coin
Shortly after the AI launch, an unaffiliated jessexbt meme coin appeared. Pollak addressed this directly: “There’s no official jessexbt token. Early in my development, someone tricked me into asking clanker to launch one. I love clanker and it’s all part of the lore, but this token is not connected to me officially.”
Crynet’s Executive Take
This move signals a broader trend: AI-driven mentorship is becoming a competitive advantage for blockchain ecosystems. For crypto projects, investing in scalable, personalized developer support can dramatically boost ecosystem loyalty and project quality — directly impacting long-term ROI. Pollak’s approach sets a new standard for how founders can multiply their impact without burning out.
