Entity X Breaks Its Accumulation Pattern
A closely watched Kaspa ($KAS) whale wallet, widely known in the community as Entity X, has made an unexpected move. According to on-chain data flagged by @kaspaunchained and verified through kas.live and the Kaspa Stream Explorer, the wallet recorded a significant outflow of 3.1 million KAS, routed through an intermediate vault before landing at the Bitvavo exchange.
The move stands out because Entity X has built its reputation as one of the most consistent accumulators in the Kaspa ecosystem. Kas.live, which tracks the wallet in real time, shows Entity X has pulled more than 1.5 billion KAS off exchanges over time, drawing funds from platforms including Gate.io, Bybit, and Bitget. A deposit to an exchange, rather than a withdrawal from one, is therefore a notable reversal of form.
Unrealized Losses Add Context
The transaction comes at a difficult moment for the wallet's book. Entity X is currently sitting on an unrealized loss of $80.84 million against a total investment of $132.22 million, according to the original on-chain report. That gap between cost basis and current market value adds weight to the question of whether this outflow signals a shift in strategy, a partial exit, or simply a routine treasury move.
The broader picture for large KAS holders has also been shifting. On-chain data tracked by CoinMarketCap shows the supply gap between large whale wallets and exchange balances has narrowed considerably over the past year, a trend analysts describe as a cautious signal because rising exchange supply can precede increased selling pressure.
Bitvavo, the Amsterdam-based exchange that listed KAS following strong user demand, is one of Europe's leading regulated crypto platforms, registered with De Nederlandsche Bank and operating under MiCA. Deposits to a regulated exchange are often interpreted as preparation for a potential sale, though that outcome is far from certain.
For now, the transaction breaks from Entity X's established pattern and will be watched closely by the Kaspa community as a potential signal of sentiment at the whale level.
