  • KuCoin announced on October 11, 2026 that it would be the first exchange anywhere to list Incentiv’s native token CENT, under a “World Premiere” designation
  • Trading in CENT opened on KuCoin at 10:00 UTC on October 12, 2026, the day immediately following the announcement
  • Incentiv describes itself as an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain secured by proof-of-work, with CENT used to pay for gas and fund ecosystem incentives

KuCoin announced on October 11, 2026 that it had secured the first listing anywhere of Incentiv’s native token, CENT, under the title “World Premiere: Incentiv (CENT) Listed on KuCoin.” The world premiere label is a designation KuCoin reserves for tokens it lists before any other exchange, a positioning the exchange has used repeatedly to attract early trading volume and visibility for new projects seeking broad distribution ahead of listings elsewhere.

Trading for CENT opened on KuCoin at 10:00 UTC on October 12, 2026, just hours after the announcement went live, giving the exchange’s user base a narrow early window to trade the token before other venues followed with their own listings. KuCoin’s announcement did not disclose trading pair details, deposit addresses, or withdrawal timing beyond confirming the exact moment spot trading would begin, following the exchange’s standard format for premiere listings.

Incentiv positions itself as an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, meaning it supports the same smart contract tooling and developer standards used across the Ethereum ecosystem while running its own independent, proof-of-work-secured network rather than functioning as a rollup or sidechain. Proof-of-work consensus, the mechanism that originally secured Bitcoin, requires network participants to expend computational effort to validate transactions and produce new blocks, a design choice that stands in contrast to the proof-of-stake systems that now secure the large majority of newer Layer 1 blockchains launched in recent years.

Within Incentiv’s network, CENT serves two core functions: it is the asset used to pay gas fees for transactions and smart contract execution, and it also funds incentive programs intended to bootstrap activity and adoption across the ecosystem. According to token allocation details disclosed in connection with CENT’s various exchange listings, the token’s supply is split across a public sale, short-term and long-term growth funds, a team and advisors allocation, and a community rewards pool, a structure common among newer Layer 1 projects seeking to balance early liquidity against long-term ecosystem development.

KuCoin’s premiere listing of CENT arrived alongside a separate listing of the same token on rival exchange Gate roughly the same day, underscoring how newly launched tokens increasingly pursue near-simultaneous multi-exchange distribution strategies rather than relying on a single platform to build initial liquidity. The announcement, published on KuCoin’s official notice board, carried KuCoin’s standard disclaimer warning users that newly listed tokens carry heightened price volatility risk and that the exchange offers no guarantee against losses tied to trading the asset.
