  • CoinGecko’s 2026 Crypto Liquidity on CEXes report measured order book depth for BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, and DOGE across eight exchanges over a 60-day window from July 6 to September 3, 2026
  • MEXC posted roughly $934,000 in SOL order book liquidity at market price, the highest of the eight exchanges studied, and over $443,000 for DOGE, also the highest
  • MEXC’s DOGE liquidity lead held beyond the plus-or-minus $0.0006 price range, leveling off near $2 million on each side of the book beyond the 1% range

MEXC highlighted its standing in CoinGecko’s 2026 Crypto Liquidity on CEXes report in a release distributed on GlobeNewswire at 07:22 a.m. ET on September 30, 2026, citing the report’s finding that the exchange posted the deepest order book liquidity for SOL and DOGE among the eight centralized exchanges it studied.

CoinGecko’s report analyzed order book depth for five major cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, ether, XRP, solana, and dogecoin, across eight exchanges over a 60-day window running from July 6 to September 3, 2026. According to the figures MEXC cited from the report, the exchange recorded approximately $934,000 in SOL liquidity available at market price, the highest among all eight exchanges studied, and more than $443,000 in DOGE liquidity at market price, also the highest, with only Binance and OKX exceeding $200,000 at that same price level for DOGE.

MEXC’s lead in DOGE liquidity held beyond the immediate market price, extending past a plus-or-minus $0.0006 price range and leveling off at roughly $2 million on each side of the order book once the range widened beyond 1%. The report found Bitget and Coinbase gained ground on SOL liquidity further from market price, beyond a plus-or-minus $0.20 range, while Binance and Bitget were the closer competitors to MEXC specifically on DOGE.

MEXC’s chief executive said in the release that “deep liquidity is therefore central to how MEXC lowers barriers to trading and provides more efficient access to global market opportunities,” framing the CoinGecko findings as validation of the exchange’s market-making and liquidity provisioning efforts on mid-cap tokens specifically, rather than the largest assets like bitcoin and ether where the biggest exchanges typically dominate order book depth.

Order book depth is a closely watched metric for traders because it determines how much a given trade will move the market price, deeper liquidity at a given price level means a large order can be filled with less slippage, an especially material consideration for tokens like SOL and DOGE that see high retail trading volume relative to their market capitalization. CoinGecko’s methodology, measuring depth across a rolling 60-day window rather than a single snapshot, is designed to capture sustained liquidity provisioning rather than a temporary spike, though as with any exchange-commissioned or exchange-cited liquidity comparison, the underlying report’s full methodology and any exchange incentive programs that might affect order book depth during the measurement window are worth independent scrutiny.
