NEAR Protocol (@NEARProtocol) has launched NEAR Business, a multisig treasury management platform aimed at Web3 companies, institutional crypto desks and venture firms. The product is pitched as an institutional-grade alternative to traditional custody and treasury software.

What NEAR Business offers

The platform supports payroll distribution, capital deployment and cross-chain operations across more than 35 blockchain networks, including $BTC, $ETH and $SOL. Teams manage these activities from a single control panel and do not need third-party bridge protocols.

A related NEAR-linked treasury product, Trezu, describes a similar setup. Its site says users can manage BTC, ETH, SOL, NEAR and 35+ chains from one dashboard, and run transactions and cross-chain swaps without an external bridge. The site also lists public and confidential treasury modes, bulk payments and audit-ready exports. One user testimonial on the site says a project has moved its treasury, including payroll, to confidential treasuries.

Multisig wallets are widely used for business treasuries because they spread signing authority across several people. A single-signature wallet fails if one key is compromised, while a multisig wallet distributes signing authority across several holders, according to B2BinPay's guide to business multisig wallets.

Pricing and the NEAR Intents backbone

NEAR Business runs on the NEAR Intents Solver Protocol. It charges a 0.35% swap fee and subsidises transaction gas costs, a structure designed to drive settlement value for $NEAR. NEAR Protocol positions the pricing against traditional institutional custody providers that charge annual SaaS licence fees above $18,000.

NEAR Intents has grown quickly as a cross-chain settlement layer. NEAR describes it as a fast-growing cross-chain infrastructure that uses an outcome-driven transaction architecture and a solver-based settlement mechanism. More recently, Near Intents recorded $4.59 billion in trading volume over 30 days, with cumulative volume since launch above $35 billion, according to Digital Today, which cited U.Today.

The scale of that activity gives NEAR Business an existing liquidity base for the cross-chain swaps it offers. Whether treasury teams adopt it will depend on how the 0.35% fee compares with existing tools and on how institutions weigh non-custodial multisig setups against regulated custodians. NEAR Protocol has not published adoption figures for the new product.
