In Brief:

  • ICE and trade[XYZ] plan to launch regulated Hyperliquid perpetual futures covering equities, commodities, currencies, and cryptocurrencies for American investors.
  • Trade[XYZ] reported over $650 billion in trading volume, supporting plans to expand perpetual futures access through regulated American markets.
  • ICE announced a strategic investment alongside Stan Druckenmiller’s involvement, while the proposed American marketplace remains subject to CFTC regulatory approval.

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), owner of the New York Stock Exchange, has partnered with trade[XYZ] to develop regulated perpetual futures markets in America. According to the announcement by trade[XYZ], the companies plan to introduce continuous derivatives trading through Hyperliquid infrastructure.

The proposed marketplace would offer contracts covering equities, indices, commodities, foreign exchange, and cryptocurrencies through participating brokers and trading platforms. ICE will provide expertise in regulated exchanges, clearing operations, and risk management, while trade[XYZ] contributes its derivatives trading technology.

Both companies intend to establish dedicated American exchange and clearing infrastructure, subject to Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) approval. Additionally, ICE has announced a strategic investment in trade[XYZ], with billionaire investor Stan Druckenmiller also joining the initiative.

ICE and trade[XYZ] Target US Expansion Following $650 Billion Trading Milestone

Trade[XYZ] reported that its Hyperliquid markets have processed more than $650 billion in trading volume within approximately one year. These markets support perpetual futures linked to traditional financial assets, allowing traders to access price movements outside conventional exchange hours.

Unlike traditional stock exchanges, the proposed American platform would support uninterrupted trading throughout the week, including weekends and holidays. The companies plan to distribute these contracts through participating brokers and platforms once regulators authorize the proposed market structure.

Meanwhile, trade[XYZ] identified American market access as a major objective, given existing restrictions affecting domestic participation. ICE brings more than 25 years of experience operating regulated financial marketplaces and managing clearing infrastructure across asset classes.

ICE Investment and CFTC Approval Shape Hyperliquid’s US Market Plans

The partnership strengthens Hyperliquid’s institutional connections while introducing a proposed American marketplace separate from existing international trading operations. Meanwhile, trade[XYZ] plans to maintain its HIP-3 markets alongside the proposed American exchange, with additional asset classes under development.

Further product details and implementation schedules will emerge as the companies advance through the regulatory approval process. CFTC authorization remains essential before the proposed marketplace can begin offering regulated perpetual futures contracts to American traders.

Both companies have outlined their investment arrangements and market development plans, with implementation dependent on regulatory clearance.
