The Pieverse unlock arrives on November 14, 2026: on that day roughly 86.4 million PIEVERSE tokens are released, equal to 8.64 percent of the fixed maximum supply of one billion. Measured against today's circulating supply of about 300 million tokens, the tradable supply grows at a stroke by almost 29 percent. At the current price of just over $1.15, the release is worth around $100 million.
The unlock matters above all because it is the first after the end of the twelve-month lock-up for the team, advisers and investors. Anyone who holds PIEVERSE or is considering buying should know how the tranche is split, what early-stage investors paid and how the release compares with market depth. That is what this article sets out. It deliberately offers no price forecast, because the price after an unlock depends on the behaviour of a few large addresses that nobody can know in advance.
A token unlock is the moment when a project's previously locked tokens become available to their recipients. The lock itself is called vesting, and the first large release after a waiting period is known as the cliff. How this mechanism works in general is explained in our guide token unlocks and vesting explained simply.
Pieverse unlock on November 14: date, amount and value
According to CoinMarketCap's unlock data, the release falls on November 14, 2026, at 00:00 UTC, which is 1:00 a.m. in Germany. The date is no coincidence: exactly one year earlier, on November 14, 2025, PIEVERSE launched on Binance Alpha and started trading. The anniversary of the token generation event (TGE), the first issuance of the token, marks the end of the lock-up period.
The key figures at a glance:
- Release amount: about 86.38 million PIEVERSE
- Share of maximum supply: 8.64 percent of one billion tokens
- Value at the November 4 price: just under $100 million
- Released so far, according to CoinMarketCap: about 31 percent of total supply, or roughly 309.5 million tokens
- Still locked: about 690.5 million tokens
There are two figures for circulating supply. CoinMarketCap counts about 300.35 million tokens in circulation, while CoinGecko uses the 274.75 million reported by the project itself. Depending on the basis, the unlock therefore lifts circulating supply by 29 to 31 percent. For your own assessment the range is more honest than a single number, because the data providers also work with different assumptions about which wallets count as circulating.
What is Pieverse? The x402b payment protocol on BNB Chain
Pieverse describes itself as payment and compliance infrastructure for Web3. The project originally started with a TimeFi approach, in which users are rewarded for time and completed tasks, and has since shifted to payments. Its core today is the x402b protocol, an extension of the open x402 payment standard for BNB Chain. It is meant to enable payments without gas fees for the sender and to generate a verifiable receipt for every payment.
It is aimed above all at AI agents, meaning programs that buy and pay for services on their own. So that companies can record such payments in their books, Pieverse puts weight on traceable receipts. The PIEVERSE token serves as the utility and governance token in the ecosystem, runs on BNB Chain and on Ethereum and, according to CoinGecko, belongs to the AI and BNB Chain ecosystem categories.
By its own account, Pieverse has raised around $10 million in total: $7 million in a strategic round led by Animoca Brands and UOB Venture, plus a further $3 million from CMS Holdings to expand x402b. These backers are precisely the group whose tokens are now being released step by step.

The lock-up for the team and investors expires on November 14; the release then runs until 2028.
Pieverse tokenomics: 20 percent team, 15 percent investors
The project published the PIEVERSE economic model in November 2025, as summarised in a PANews report on KuCoin. Total supply is capped at one billion tokens and is allocated as follows:
- 27.6 percent for community development
- 27.4 percent for ecosystem and market growth
- 20 percent for the team and advisers
- 15 percent for investors
- 10 percent for the foundation
According to that publication, the team, advisers, investors and core contributors are subject to a twelve-month lock-up followed by linear vesting. Linear means the tokens are released in equal instalments over a fixed period, typically monthly. Based on the figures that the unlock databases also use, full vesting ends in November 2028. By then, circulating supply would have more than tripled compared with today.
Breakdown of the unlock: investors and foundation reserve receive 25 million each
What drives selling pressure is not the total amount but who receives the tokens. CoinMarketCap breaks down the November 14 tranche as follows:
Recipient group
Tokens
Type of release
Investors
25.0m
linear
Foundation reserve
25.0m
linear
Ecosystem and marketing
19.75m
cliff
Team and advisers
8.33m
linear
Community growth
8.3m
linear
Total
about 86.4m
That allows a first assessment. Just over half of the tranche, namely the foundation reserve, ecosystem and community growth, goes into pools that the project manages itself. Experience shows that such tokens tend to be used for grant programmes, partnerships or liquidity rather than sold on the market straight away. A sale cannot be ruled out, however, and from the outside there is no way to tell in advance what will happen to them.
The case is different for the roughly 33.3 million tokens for investors and for the team and advisers. These groups bought in early and cheaply and, after a year of waiting, can take profits for the first time. One uncertainty remains: according to CoinMarketCap, the 25 million investor tranche is one sixth of the 150 million investor allocation, whereas the industry outlet Coin Edition speaks of 18 months of linear vesting after the cliff. The two figures do not fully match. Pieverse itself has not officially confirmed the exact daily amount.
Investor entry price: $0.0667 against just over $1.15 today
Coin Edition puts the investors' entry price at $0.06667 per token. At the November 4 price of about $1.16, their paper gain would be just over 17 times their stake. In September, when PIEVERSE set its all-time high of $1.98 on September 21, the gap was considerably wider.
A paper gain that large is an incentive to sell, but not an automatic trigger. Venture capital investors rarely sell their whole tranche on day one, because doing so would depress the price of their remaining, still locked holdings. More common are staggered sales over several weeks, over-the-counter blocks sold to other funds, or parking tokens on exchange accounts so they can act quickly when needed. For holders, this means the date itself is only the starting point of a period with higher supply.
How you can work out the released amounts for any token yourself from public data is shown in our guide on calculating token unlocks yourself.

A release of around $100 million meets daily trading volume of $18 million to $37 million.
Unlock versus trading volume: roughly three to five and a half days of turnover
Whether an unlock weighs on the price depends heavily on liquidity, in other words on how much is traded each day. For PIEVERSE, the data providers show 24-hour trading volume on November 4 of $18.4 million (CoinGecko) to $37.3 million (CoinMarketCap). The release of just under $100 million therefore equals about 2.7 to 5.4 trading days of turnover.
By comparison, when an unlock amounts to only a fraction of one day's volume, the extra supply usually fades without notice. When the release equals several days of turnover, even partial sales are enough to put noticeable strain on the order book. An order book is the list of all open buy and sell orders on an exchange; its depth shows how much volume a market can absorb without the price moving sharply.
Where PIEVERSE trades is also striking. According to CoinGecko, the largest single share of volume is on the decentralised exchange PancakeSwap on BNB Chain, followed by the South Korean platforms Upbit and Bithumb as well as Bybit and Gate. A large part of liquidity therefore sits outside traditional European trading venues. We worked through how a similarly large unlock played out relative to trading volume for another token, using the example of the RAIN unlock and its trading volume.
Selling pressure after the cliff: the case for and against
The case for noticeable selling pressure rests on the combination of a large paper gain for investors, a release of almost a third of circulating supply and trading volume that can absorb only part of it in a single day. On top of that, after the September high the price has lost about 14.5 percent over the past 30 days, according to CoinGecko. The market has therefore already given up some of its enthusiasm.
The case against a slump is that the date has been public for a year and traders can price it in. Over the past seven days, PIEVERSE has gained about 10 percent despite the approaching unlock. In addition, just over half of the tranche goes to project-related pools that are under no pressure to sell. How strong the pressure actually turns out to be will therefore only become clear in the days and weeks after November 14, not in the hour of the release.
It makes sense to watch large addresses in a BNB Chain block explorer. If freshly released tokens move in larger amounts to exchange addresses, that points to planned sales. If they stay in the vesting or project wallets, the immediate risk falls.
Trading Pieverse in Germany: exchanges, MiCA licensing and the risk of total loss
Investors in Germany who want to buy or sell PIEVERSE can find the token, according to CoinGecko, on Kraken against the US dollar and on Bybit, Gate and MEXC against USDT, among others. Whether a token is enabled on a provider's European platform can differ from its global offering; what counts is the asset list in your own account.
When choosing, look for authorisation under MiCA, the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation. A provider with a MiCA licence is subject to supervision, capital rules and obligations to hold client assets separately. Whether a provider is authorised is shown in the public register of the European Securities and Markets Authority, ESMA. You will find an overview of authorised platforms in our comparison of regulated crypto exchanges, and a broader overview in our comparison of the best crypto exchanges.
Important for context: PIEVERSE is a young token with a short trading history, high volatility and a large share of its supply still locked. Between the low of about $0.12 shortly after launch and the September high lay a factor of more than 16. Swings like that are possible in both directions, and so is a total loss of the money invested. Only invest what you can afford to lose in the worst case.
Crypto tax on Pieverse in Germany: one-year holding period and 1,000 euro exemption limit
For tax purposes in Germany, PIEVERSE is treated like other crypto assets as a private asset. If you sell at a profit within one year of buying, that is a private disposal transaction under Section 23 of the German Income Tax Act. Gains remain tax-free as long as the total of all such gains in the calendar year stays below the exemption limit of 1,000 euros. If it is exceeded, the entire gain is taxed at your personal rate, not just the part above the limit.
If you hold PIEVERSE for more than a year, any gain on sale is tax-free. Anyone who bought at the trading launch in November 2025 reaches this holding period right around the unlock date. Check the purchase date to the day before you sell: selling one day too early can turn an otherwise tax-free gain into a taxable one. If you made several purchases at different times, a crypto tax tool that records the order using the first-in, first-out method will help. Losses from private disposal transactions can be offset against gains of the same type. The unlock itself does not trigger a taxable event for you as a holder.
Pieverse unlock: there is time for a plan until November 14
The unlock can be planned for; its effect on the price cannot. Three steps help you go into the date prepared:
- Settle where you trade: Check whether your provider holds a MiCA licence and offers PIEVERSE for your account. The comparison of regulated crypto exchanges gives you a starting point.
- Record purchase date and tax: Note the time of purchase, the amount and the price so that you can determine the one-year holding period with certainty. A tax tool with a portfolio tracker does this automatically.
- Decide on custody: If you want to hold PIEVERSE beyond the unlock, you do not have to leave the tokens on the exchange. A hardware wallet that supports BNB Chain protects you against a provider failure; see our hardware wallet comparison.
