Stripe Joins Polygon OMS as a Funding Option

Polygon has added Stripe as a supported funding method inside its Open Money Stack (OMS), enabling one-click onchain payments for customers. The move extends the range of ways shoppers can fund purchases without leaving a single checkout flow.

Polygon OMS connects compliance, wallets, fiat on- and off-ramps, payment routing, and blockchain settlement through a single API, sparing businesses from having to stitch together multiple vendors. With Stripe now included, customers can select it alongside other supported payment methods during checkout, while merchants still receive settlement onchain.

Cross-Chain Checkout and Growing Enterprise Adoption

Beyond traditional payment rails, Polygon OMS supports checkout with any token across major blockchains. The platform handles routing and bridging automatically in the background, so shoppers are not required to manually swap assets or switch networks to complete a purchase.

The underlying settlement layer has processed over $2.7 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume across 159 million unique wallet addresses, at an average transaction cost of $0.002, according to Polygon. Enterprise partners including Revolut, Flutterwave, Mastercard, and Visa have already connected to the same rails.

The Stripe addition builds on a broader push by Polygon to simplify onchain commerce for both businesses and consumers. OMS routes KYC and KYB verification to the appropriate regional provider and runs sanctions and AML screening on every flow, with coverage currently spanning 48 US states and expanding internationally.

For businesses, the integration means accepting a wider range of customer payment preferences without rebuilding payment infrastructure. For shoppers, the experience stays familiar: pick a product, choose a payment method, and complete the purchase in one step.
