Revolut has integrated its cryptocurrency trading platform, Revolut X, with multiple AI-powered assistants, enabling users to execute trades and oversee their portfolios using everyday language. Compatible AI tools include Anthropic’s Claude, Google’s Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor.

This functionality allows users to view portfolio snapshots, access real-time pricing information, configure personalized price notifications, and execute both immediate and deferred orders — all without launching the Revolut X application itself.
The system supports over 300 digital tokens currently listed on the exchange.
This capability emerged from an in-house development initiative. Revolut’s engineering team connected Claude to the Revolut X API in approximately half an hour. This rapid prototype generated a functional market-making system encompassing inventory oversight, price quotation, trade execution, performance tracking, and alert mechanisms.
The underlying technology leverages Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), initially launched in November 2024, which builds upon Revolut X’s pre-existing trading API infrastructure.
The company has also released an open-source GitHub repository offering universal compatibility across more than 50 AI applications. Users on alternative platforms can access functionality through a command-line tool.
Leonid Bashlykov, Revolut’s crypto product director, stated: “AI agents provide us with much faster workflows, smarter execution, and tighter integration with the tools we use daily to trade.”
Users can articulate trading concepts using conversational language. For instance, requesting a Bitcoin grid trading strategy analysis covering the previous 90 days generates historical results, risk analytics, and parameter recommendations.
Additionally, users can establish Telegram alerts that activate when particular digital assets reach designated price points — accomplished entirely through dialogue-based instructions instead of manual setup processes.
Programming expertise is not necessary.
Revolut mandates that users verify and authorize each transaction prior to execution. The organization explicitly rejects accountability for financial losses or mistakes resulting from AI tool usage.
Cryptocurrency offerings are delivered through Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd., which holds authorization from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission under MiCA regulations.
Revolut serves more than 75 million individual customers globally and maintains over 16 million cryptocurrency users.
Revolut isn’t pioneering this alone. In April, Gemini introduced agentic trading capabilities, enabling users to link Claude and ChatGPT to their portfolios through MCP — describing it as the inaugural deployment of this technology on a regulated American cryptocurrency platform.
Liquid unveiled a real-time trading execution system driven by ChatGPT and Claude. Robinhood has similarly indicated intentions to introduce cryptocurrency-focused agentic trading features in the United States.
Revolut X debuted in May 2024 as a desktop-exclusive offering for UK customers. The service expanded to 30 European nations in November 2024 and introduced a mobile application for UK and EEA users in March 2025.
In a separate development, Revolut confirmed it will discontinue support for Tether’s USDT by August 31, 2026, referencing compliance obligations under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulatory framework.
