Key Insights:
- Ripple Mint unifies RLUSD minting, redemption, and liquidity tools.
- Institutions gain web access, APIs, and real-time transaction alerts.
- RLUSD now operates across seven supported blockchain networks.
Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, an enterprise platform for institutions using its RLUSD stablecoin. The service combines a web console, APIs, and webhook notifications into a unified platform.
Existing RLUSD customers can access the platform immediately. They can mint, redeem, bridge, and monitor funds without separate manual processes. Ripple targets exchanges, fintech firms, market makers, payment companies, and other institutional clients.
The launch comes as RLUSD expands beyond Ethereum and the XRP Ledger. It also marks Ripple’s latest effort to turn regulated stablecoin access into enterprise-grade financial infrastructure.
Ripple Mint gives operational teams direct control through a web interface. Engineering teams can connect the same functions to internal systems through programmatic APIs. This helps to facilitate supervised transactions and automated treasury workflows.

Institutions can use this access to start minting and redemption requests. They may also request balances and monitor transactions at each step of processing.
According to Ripple’s “Meet Ripple Mint” announcement, the platform was designed to reduce fragmented workflows by providing institutions with a unified interface to access, mint, redeem, and manage RLUSD.
Webhook alerts are emitted when fiat arrives or when processing begins in mint. They also include onchain settlement and finished redemption payouts.
All steps have the same reference ID. The link facilitates reconciliation between institutions’ bank activity and blockchain records. It can also provide clearer reporting across operations, compliance and accounting departments.
The platform supports direct bridging across available networks. Trading venues and payment providers can therefore manage RLUSD liquidity from one place. Firms can connect these functions with treasury, settlement and compliance systems.
Ripple Mint Extends RLUSD Access Across New Networks
RLUSD first launched on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. Ripple has expanded the token to Base, Optimism, Ink, Unichain and the XRPL EVM Sidechain.
The RLUSD documentation page now lists seven supported networks for the RLUSD stablecoin. The wider footprint places RLUSD closer to decentralized exchanges, payment applications, and tokenized asset markets.
Institutions can move funds where liquidity and users already operate. Ripple Mint centralizes the related minting, redemption, and bridging activity instead of requiring separate network tools.
The XRPL EVM Sidechain carries added strategic value for Ripple. It is compatible with Ethereum and maintains connections with the entire XRP Ledger network. Developers can deploy their smart contracts on the familiar smart contract infrastructure and tap into XRPL-backed liquidity.
Ripple frames RLUSD and XRP as complementary rather than competing. The RLUSD stablecoin provides dollar-based settlement and treasury liquidity. XRP can support swaps, collateral, payments, and cross-chain liquidity across supported environments.
Regulated Issuance Supports Institutional Stablecoin Use
Standard Custody and Trust Company issues RLUSD under a New York limited-purpose trust charter. The New York Department of Financial Services supervises the issuer.
Direct institutional customers must meet bank-level identity and anti-money laundering requirements. Ripple also conducts regular sanctions screening for customers and associated wallets.
According to the Ripple USD Transparency Reports, RLUSD reserves remain in segregated accounts. They include U.S. dollars and other cash equivalents. BNY is the main reserve custodian, and they have an independent accountant that reports on monthly attestations.
As of July 16, 2026, Ripple reported $1.51 billion in RLUSD currently circulating. Reserve funds stood near $1.62 billion on the same date. These figures show the existing scale behind Ripple Mint as institutions gain more direct operating tools.
The platform does not remove compliance checks from issuance and redemption. Ripple reviews relevant customer wallets before releasing RLUSD or completing fiat settlement.
Approved mint requests move deposited dollars into reserve accounts before tokens reach customer wallets. During redemption, institutions transfer RLUSD to Ripple’s designated wallet. Once the necessary review is done, Ripple sends instructions to the partner banks for payment.
