The company behind XRP and RLUSD has introduced a major expansion of Ripple Treasury aimed at helping businesses manage cash, liquidity, and payments around the clock.
The new platform combines traditional treasury management with AI-powered automation and digital payment rails, while also giving eligible corporate clients new ways to put idle cash to work.
Corporate Treasury Push Into 24/7 Mode
Announced at the recently concluded Swell 2026, the new Ripple Treasury capabilities are designed for global businesses, including major names such as American Airlines, Trax, Subway, Adecco, Kingfisher, and Christian Louboutin. At the center of the platform is an orchestration layer that works with GSmart, Ripple Treasury’s AI-focused tech.
It’s designed to automate and coordinate workflows across cash positioning, forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management, and payments. The idea is to connect financial decision-making directly with execution, reducing the need for treasury teams to rely on separate systems and manual processes.
The statement also outlines the introduction of 24/7 Returns, a feature that could allow eligible corporate customers to earn returns on qualifying digital assets held in a Ripple wallet, including the company’s US dollar-backed stablecoin. This means businesses could put operating cash to work overnight, on weekends, and on holidays without managing the underlying digital asset transactions themselves.
Citing data from the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey, which shows 46% of organizations increased their US cash reserves over the past year, Ripple said 86% of treasury professionals would choose real-time money market funds if those products met their investment policies.
“Treasury is moving from visibility to action, and the emerging challenge is orchestration: connecting trusted data, intelligence and the ability to move money so that better decisions turn into timely execution,” commented Kevin Permenter, Research Director of IDC.
RLUSD Keeps Growing
Launched less than two years ago and with a market cap of over $2.5 billion as of now, Ripple’s stablecoin has become a vital part of the company’s broader structure, especially in the past few months. As reported last week, Cross River Bank said it would integrate RLUSD into its banking infrastructure, allowing eligible businesses to move between dollars and the stablecoin, process cross-border payments, and manage treasury transfers through a single API connection.
Standard Chartered also recently launched institutional custody support for RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, while Ripple and Securitize introduced infrastructure allowing holders of BlackRock’s BUILD and VanEck’s CBILL tokenized funds to exchange their shares for RLUSD around the clock.
