Applications built on Solana generated $5.09 million in revenue on September 9, more than any other blockchain network, Solana said, citing DefiLlama data.
App revenue refers to the fees users pay to interact with decentralized applications, trading platforms, lending protocols, games and other services built on top of a blockchain.
The figure put Solana roughly 54% ahead of the next closest network, BNB Smart Chain, which recorded $3.3 million. Robinhood Chain came in third at $3.24 million, followed by Hyperliquid L1 at $1.95 million and Ethereum at $1.52 million.
Total app revenue across all tracked networks was $15.1 million for the day, meaning Solana accounted for about a third of the total.
Solana has been posting record activity across several metrics. In August, the network processed a record 216 million non-vote transactions in one day and 1.32 billion over the week of August 17-23, according to the Solana Foundation's August roundup.
Tokenized assets also set records last month. Solana's real-world asset value passed $4 billion across more than 350,000 addresses, while xStocks crossed $500 million in assets under management, the foundation said.
For blockchain networks, app revenue is one of the clearest measures of economic activity. Unlike transaction counts, which can be inflated by automated processes or spam, revenue reflects what users pay to use applications on a network.
Solana applications generated $5.09 million in daily revenue, 54% more than BNB Smart Chain.
