Solana ecosystem tokens are among the weakest performers in a soft crypto market this week. Few assets have posted gains, but several governance tokens tied to major @Solana protocols have fallen further than most.
@Raydium$RAY is down 21%, @JupiterExchange$JUP has lost 20%, and @Pumpfun$PUMP has dropped 18%. Together, the three tokens represent core parts of Solana's trading and token-launch infrastructure.
Macro pressure hits high-beta altcoins
The declines follow a wider risk-off move. A US CPI inflation reading of 3.7% triggered $1 billion in liquidations and a risk-off move across altcoins, according to CoinMarketCap. The same analysis said the drop in Jupiter was driven mainly by a broad, macro-driven altcoin selloff rather than a JUP-specific negative event.
CoinMarketCap also noted that the base chain tends to move modestly lower in such periods, while leveraged or more speculative ecosystem assets drop more. That pattern fits this week's data. $SOL has fallen more slowly than its ecosystem tokens, and it recently broke a key ascending trendline support near $111 and is trading below its 20-day and 50-day EMA at $103, according to a Cryptonews analysis.
Network activity has softened
On-chain data points to cooler participation. Cryptonews reported that Solana's reported transaction-volume metric has fallen to $20.25 million, while daily active addresses have retreated to 3.74 million. The same report said a continued decline in active addresses and transaction activity would strengthen concerns about weakening ecosystem demand.
The three tokens are closely linked. A Gate research note describes Pump.fun as creating asset supply, Jupiter optimizing demand matching, and Raydium providing the foundational trading layer. When memecoin speculation cools, activity across all three can slow together. Changelly's market overview makes a similar point, noting that boom cycles drive large fee revenue and SOL demand, and when speculation cools, activity and price follow.
Jupiter's recent product launch adds another factor. Cryptonews reported that its new YOLO trading product recorded over $1 billion in volume after its October 15 beta launch, offering 1,000x leverage on SOL, BTC and ETH. CoinMarketCap described the product as notable but not clearly the main cause of the price drop based on available news and social data.
Whether the Solana ecosystem tokens stabilise will likely depend on broader market sentiment and a recovery in on-chain activity. Price figures are moving quickly, so readers should check live data before making decisions.
