Tron’s total accounts reached over 400 million on August 23, with the last 100 million wallets being added in about 16 months.
Now the network settles more than half of all USDT in circulation.
Tron settles 51.4% of all circulating USDT
The network grew from 300 million to 400 million accounts between April 12, 2025, and August 23, 2026.
The chain’s genesis block was launched on June 25, 2018, and it took a whole four years for the first 100 million accounts to amass. It was not until December 7, 2023, that the 200 million point was reached.
Since going live, Tron has processed over 15.2 billion transactions, and the total volume of transfers is ~$30 trillion. TRON DAO’s own release put the figure over $29 trillion.
The 400 million figure and Justin Sun’s comments come from a TRON DAO press release.
Tron now handles 51.4% of all USDT in circulation, with a float of $94.2 billion this week that increased by ~$3 billion in a single day, according to Tronscan data.
The network represents 52% of the global flow in low-value transfers of USDT. Such transactions are generally used for retail payments and cross-border remittances.
Tron averaged 4.64 million active accounts over the past 30 days. Some August days topped 5 million, and about 170,000 new addresses join daily.

Ethereum still leads on daily activity and DeFi
On raw account count, Tron has 400 million accounts, ahead of older, larger networks.
Ethereum has around 500,000 daily active addresses compared to ~350,000 on the Bitcoin network. Ethereum still dominates all DeFi activity.
TRON DAO pointed to signs of institutional interest. It has joined the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index and named Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial as partners.
The network’s corporate treasury arm, Tron Inc., bought another 145,199 TRX at an average of $0.3444, bringing its total to 711.5 million TRX, worth about $245 million.
TRX traded at $0.3357, down 1.1% on the day and up 1% on the week, with a market cap of $31.87 billion.
“From zero to 400M users in just over 8 years. Incredible to see how quickly the TRON ecosystem has grown,” wrote Tron Founder Justin Sun on X.
