Stellar (@StellarOrg) reported a strong third quarter in its latest stellar:native report, with growth in tokenized assets, payment volume and developer activity. The network's native token is $XLM.
According to the Q3 2026 report, real-world assets (RWAs) on the network reached $4.1 billion, up 36% from the previous quarter and 548% from a year earlier. Stellar's own RWA page lists $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets as of September 1, 2026. That is consistent with the report's quarter-end figure.
Volume and stablecoins drive the quarter
Stellar recorded $33.2 billion in total volume during Q3 2026, up 71% from Q2. Stablecoin volume reached $25.1 billion. Separate coverage of the report put the quarter-over-quarter rise in stablecoin volume at 121%.
The growth in tokenized assets has been concentrated among a handful of issuers. Realiz, Tradable, Franklin Templeton's BENJI ecosystem and Ondo each hold roughly $535 million to $559 million on the network, according to Crypto Briefing. The RWA market on Stellar spans US Treasurys, private and public credit, and non-US government debt.
CEO Denelle Dixon says the network is now focused on making tokenized assets useful in lending and payments. The emphasis suggests Stellar is looking beyond issuance toward practical use of assets already on the chain.
Price action has not matched the network metrics. In late August, $XLM was down roughly 11% year to date and trading near $0.18, according to CoinGecko data.
Developer activity ranks second to Ethereum
Stellar had 3,922 monthly active developers at the end of September, ranking second globally behind Ethereum, according to Electric Capital. The figure is a record, and the network recorded 99.99% uptime during the quarter. Full-time developers also reached a quarterly record of 475.
The second-place ranking is not new. Dixon has previously cited 2,968 monthly active developers, second only to Ethereum, at an earlier point this year. The latest count points to continued growth from that level.
