@Temple_ny, the institutional trading venue built by Temple Digital Group, has taken a commanding lead in decentralised exchange (DEX) activity on @CantonNetwork. Its monthly trading volume rose 141% to $641M, up from $265M the previous month, according to @CertiKCommunity.

That growth has reshaped the market. Temple now accounts for 57% of Canton DEX volume, up from 13% a month earlier, based on the same CertiK data.

What Temple does on Canton Network

Temple Digital Group is a New York-based company that builds non-custodial trading infrastructure for institutional digital asset markets. Its platform uses a central limit order book and runs around the clock. Participants keep custody of their assets, and trades are made with approved counterparties under privacy and regulatory oversight.

Canton is a permissioned blockchain created by Digital Asset that lets regulated institutions transact and settle tokenized assets onchain. Data provider Kaiko, which integrated Temple into its market data platform, describes the venue as the first central limit order book exchange on the network. It says trades settle atomically through Canton's Global Synchronizer, so both legs of a transaction complete together or not at all. Its primary pairs include Canton Coin ($CC) against USDCx.

Volume and funding backdrop

DefiLlama's protocol page shows Temple has processed $617.21M in DEX volume over the past 30 days, with cumulative volume of about $1.37B. The figures differ slightly from CertiK's monthly number because of timing and methodology, but both point to rapid growth. DefiLlama's methodology counts settled spot order book volume in USD-pegged assets such as USDA and USDCx.

Temple has also drawn investor interest. It raised a $5M seed round in October 2025 led by Paper Ventures, with participation from YZi, CMT Digital, GSR and others, according to a company press release. SBI Holdings has since led a further investment round, Dealroom reported.

Temple's rising share points to liquidity concentrating on a single venue within Canton's DEX market, which remains small compared with the network's institutional ambitions.
