@Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR) added another 28,086 $ETH to its books over the past seven days, bringing its total Ethereum treasury to 5.93 million tokens, currently valued at approximately $14.8 billion. The latest purchase moves the Tom Lee-led firm to within striking distance of the 6 million mark and keeps it firmly on course toward its stated target of owning 5% of the entire $ETH supply.
Chairman Tom Lee, who also serves as co-founder and CIO of @fundstrat, confirmed that the company's diversified balance sheet, including crypto, cash, and other strategic holdings, reached a total value of $15.7 billion as of September 7, 2026.
Relentless Accumulation
Bitmine has bought $ETH every week since it pivoted from bitcoin mining to an Ethereum treasury strategy in June 2025. The firm remains the largest corporate Ethereum treasury in the world and the second-largest corporate crypto treasury overall, behind Strategy, which owns 847,363 BTC. The week's purchase follows a period of steady accumulation that saw the company's reserves climb from 5.81 million tokens in mid-August to the current 5.93 million figure.
Over 5 million of those tokens are staked, and the company has reported a seven-day annualized staking yield of 2.67%, supporting projected annualized staking revenues of around $330 million. That yield is generated in part through MAVAN, the Made in America Validator Network, Bitmine's institutional-grade staking platform, which was launched earlier in 2026 and is intended to expand beyond Bitmine's own treasury to serve institutional investors, custodians, and ecosystem partners.
The Alchemy of 5%
Lee has branded Bitmine's accumulation goal the "Alchemy of 5%," a reference to the firm's ambition to control 5% of all circulating $ETH. In roughly one year, the former crypto-mining company has assembled the largest corporate Ether position ever recorded, now at approximately 4.9% of Ethereum's roughly 120.7 million circulating coins.
Management has pointed to growing Wall Street tokenization activity, rising agentic AI adoption, and supportive U.S. policy signals as tailwinds for Ethereum and for Bitmine's accumulation strategy. Lee has consistently argued that these structural trends underpin the long-term investment case for holding a concentrated $ETH position on a corporate balance sheet.
With the 6 million $ETH milestone now within reach, attention is turning to whether Bitmine can complete the final leg of its supply target before the end of the year and what impact continued large-scale buying may have on Ethereum's liquidity and staking dynamics.
