A token called Trump Digital Gold collapsed 99% within hours of its Saturday launch on Solana, after wallets controlling 82.45% of its supply sold their entire holdings for close to $1 million.
The token was created around 7:38 a.m. and promoted roughly ninety minutes later by @realtrumpcoins1, a verified X account followed by Donald Trump whose bio describes it as an official partner of a licensed Trump merchandise brand. Its market cap reached $66 million before the promotional post was deleted around 11:48 a.m. Within about thirty seconds, market cap fell from roughly $55 million to $1 million. By 2 p.m., the insider wallets had exited completely.
On-chain data reviewed by blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain shows a developer wallet held 600 million GOLD tokens while fifteen newly created wallets spent $18,657 to acquire another 224.5 million. Together, those wallets controlled 824.5 million tokens, or 82.45% of total supply. Their full liquidation brought in 9,784.6 SOL, worth roughly $1 million at the time of the sale.

A Denial Made a Week Earlier
Eric Trump denied any new Trump-family coin was coming on August 22, writing on X that “no one is launching any kind of coin” and that any suggestion otherwise was “a fraud.” GOLD launched exactly one week later, trading on an account claiming official partnership. RealTrumpCoins.com, the site tied to that account, calls GOLD “the Trump Foundation’s most ambitious crypto project” while separately disclaiming, in its own fine print, any ownership by the Trump Organization. Neither the Trump Organization nor Eric Trump has commented specifically on GOLD as of publication.
What a joke… This is absolutely not true. No one is launching any kind of coin. If anyone is suggesting otherwise, it’s a fraud. https://t.co/H0nWXNL8rn
A separate account has alleged that @realtrumpcoins1 was compromised, and that the wallets involved were funded from Binance within an hour, urging the exchange to review its know-your-customer records. A second, unverified claim, circulated as a screenshot, alleges Iranian involvement and quotes a deleted post boasting of profits. Neither claim has been independently confirmed, and both are reported here only as claims still under scrutiny.
