Daily $UNI burns for Uniswap (@Uniswap) have dropped sharply, with activity on Robinhood Chain falling to its lowest level since the burn mechanism went live there.

Across various blockchains, daily burns of the Uniswap token are now around 12,000 to 14,000, according to Defioasis. On Robinhood (@RobinhoodCrypto) Chain, the latest data shows only around 4,000 daily burns. Daily burns were above 150,000 UNI at the start of September before falling off.

From record burn to record low

The slide follows a peak earlier in the autumn. Bitcoin(.)com reported that Robinhood Chain cleared $3 billion in daily decentralized exchange volume for the first time on Sept. 4, and Uniswap burned a record $1.15 million of UNI as a result. According to the same report, 184,000 UNI were burned that day, with about 150,000 tied to Robinhood Chain. It was the first time the daily burn crossed $1 million in dollar terms and the second-largest by token count since the mechanism went live.

Since then, burns on the network have faded. Bitcoinhaber reports that daily burns on Robinhood Chain stayed below 20,000 UNI through most of September, before reaching only a few thousand in recent days. The same report says combined daily burns across networks peaked at close to 190,000 UNI, with Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Robinhood Chain each contributing at different points in the year.

The decrease indicates that trading activity on Robinhood Chain is waning.

Why burns track trading volume

UNI burns are tied directly to protocol fees. Uniswap governance approved the UNIfication proposal on Christmas Day 2025, which activated the protocol fee switch. According to DL News, the fee switch sends revenue to a smart contract known as the token jar, and anyone who burns UNI through a contract called the fire pit can withdraw an equivalent amount of crypto from it. Bitcoin(.)com notes that the size of each day's burn has tracked how much volume runs through Uniswap's pools. Lower trading volume therefore means lower fee accrual and fewer burns.

For UNI holders, slower burns mean a slower reduction in supply. Daily burn totals remain a useful gauge of on-chain demand for Uniswap, and the current readings suggest activity on Robinhood Chain has cooled well below its early-September levels.
