US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced renewed net outflows on Wednesday as Bitcoin’s price fell below $82,000. Data from SoSoValue indicated that investors withdrew approximately $262 million from these funds, reversing the $176 million in net inflows recorded the previous day.

Continued outflows amid Bitcoin price decline

The latest round of withdrawals brought the week’s cumulative net outflows to $151 million through Wednesday. Just a week earlier, US spot Bitcoin ETFs had registered $681 million in net outflows, highlighting persistent volatility across the sector.

Bitcoin’s retreat below $82,000 came after the release of the latest US inflation report. By the time of this report, the cryptocurrency was trading at about $80,741, marking a 3.2% decline in the previous 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $262 million in net outflows on Wednesday, following a period of brief inflows, as investors reacted to ongoing price fluctuations and macroeconomic signals.

The negative flows reflected ongoing uncertainties, as market participants assessed the impact of economic data on digital asset prices. Analysts pointed to the sensitivity of Bitcoin-related funds to macroeconomic conditions, with trading patterns closely mirroring major announcements such as inflation reports.

ETH, SOL, and ZEC ETFs see additional pressure

ETFs tracking Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Zcash (ZEC) also posted net outflows this week. Ether funds saw withdrawals amounting to about $130 million on Wednesday, increasing their weekly outflows to $190 million. The trend extended losses from the previous week, when Ether ETFs saw $542 million in net outflows, following $138 million in outflows a week earlier.

Solana ETFs continued their negative streak, losing $1.3 million on Wednesday, tallying $3 million in net outflows so far this week. This marked the eighth consecutive trading session of outflows for Solana-related funds.

Zcash ETFs attracted $3.7 million in inflows on Wednesday, but the overall weekly result remained negative, with a total net outflow of $3.2 million.

XRP ETFs defy broader market trend

In contrast, XRP ETFs managed to post net inflows, drawing about $740,000 on Wednesday. XRP remained the only asset among the five key names tracked to maintain a positive net flow this week.

XRP ETFs stood out as the sole category posting positive flows, with investors adding approximately $740,000 despite a challenging week for crypto-related funds.

While major crypto ETFs were mostly under pressure, investor interest in XRP suggested selective optimism amid broader outflows.

Increasingly, market watchers and traders have underscored the importance of monitoring not just price developments but also the timing and selection of assets. In particular, the meme token market has illustrated how trending topics can translate into large-scale investor interest within days.

Fomo App, for instance, reported a notable trade where an initial $99 investment in the meme token “Niu Lai” grew to approximately $370,000. Tools offered by Fomo App, such as token discovery, social feeds, investor rankings, and real-time trade notifications, have enabled users to keep pace with rapid shifts in meme token activity.

This environment has made it increasingly important for traders to track shifts in both established and emerging digital assets. The ETF outflows witnessed this week underline the ongoing volatility, while rapid meme token surges highlight the dynamic nature of the crypto market.
