Wall Street Giant Goldman Sachs Loads Up on $86.5M in XRP ETFs as Price Hits Strongest Week in 2 Years

Goldman Sachs’ XRP ETF Bet Jumps as XRP Posts Its Strongest Week in Two Years

Goldman Sachs’ reported exposure to XRP ETFs is drawing fresh attention just as XRP delivers its strongest weekly performance in years, putting institutional positioning and market momentum firmly in focus.

According to figures highlighted by market analyst Xaif Crypto, Goldman Sachs reported $86.5 million across five spot XRP ETFs in its Q2 2026 13F filing. Following the ETFs’ subsequent gains, that exposure is now estimated at roughly $113.7 million, an increase of about 31% from the value disclosed at the filing date.

Why does this distinction matter? Well, the $113.7 million figure does not mean Goldman Sachs bought another $27 million worth of XRP ETFs. A 13F captures holdings at a specific point in time, so the value of an existing position can rise as the underlying assets appreciate.

Still, the disclosure is notable. It confirms that Goldman had meaningful exposure to regulated XRP investment products as institutional interest in crypto continues to expand with banking giant Morgan Stanley also recently making a similar filing.

XRP Takes the Lead

The disclosure arrives amid a powerful XRP rally that has outpaced most major cryptocurrencies.

Xaif Crypto highlighted weekly gains of:

  • XRP: +45.57%
  • ETH: +33.63%
  • DOGE: +30.74%
  • SOL: +24.31%
  • BTC: +24.28%
  • BNB: +12.98%

With XRP trading at $1.51, according to CoinCodex data cited in the report, the top altcoin’s weekly return was nearly 1.9 times Bitcoin’s.

Therefore, this performance underscores XRP’s growing relative strength and renewed interest from both traders and institutional investors.

Tokenization Could Be the Bigger Catalyst

The longer-term story extends beyond price.Financial institutions are increasingly exploring tokenized stocks, Treasuries, funds and other real-world assets, pushing blockchain technology closer to mainstream financial infrastructure.

October has emerged as a period closely watched by XRP investors for potential acceleration in tokenization and institutional blockchain activity.

Why is this development ideal? Well, it could put the XRP Ledger in sharper focus. Its native asset, decentralized exchange and expanding stablecoin and tokenized-asset ecosystem give XRPL a potential role in the movement and settlement of digital assets.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether institutional experiments with tokenization develop into meaningful commercial adoption.

The Bigger XRP Story

Goldman Sachs’ ETF exposure and XRP’s latest rally highlight two trends increasingly moving in the same direction, entailing institutional positioning and accelerating market momentum.

The $86.5 million figure represents Goldman’s reported Q2 holdings, while the $113.7 million figure is an estimated current value following XRP’s subsequent gains.

If institutional exposure continues to expand, tokenization gathers pace and XRP maintains its momentum, the narrative around the asset could shift further, from speculative trading toward institutional adoption, liquidity and real-world blockchain utility.
