Mason Versluis, a well-known cryptocurrency content creator, suggested that XRP could see a dramatic price increase, potentially reaching $10 or even $15 in a future market rally. He argued that such a surge could occur without the need for broad bank adoption or participation from major financial institutions.

XRP’s reputation and retail investor appeal

Versluis identified three key factors that could contribute to a significant revaluation of XRP: its established public profile, greater accessibility on exchanges, and the likelihood of retail investors returning as prices climb. He noted that these conditions may result in substantial buying pressure if a bullish trend resumes in the cryptocurrency market.

During a recent video, Versluis described XRP as one of the most visible cryptocurrencies in the sector, ranking it among the top four for exposure on social media, television, news platforms, and search engines like Google. This established recognition, he suggested, means millions are already familiar with the asset even if they have not yet invested.

He used the term “sleeper cells” to describe those who recognize XRP but have not participated in the market. Versluis believes that should the price climb to $2 or $3, many of these individuals would be motivated to enter the market, especially as they observe others profiting.

He anticipates this dynamic could trigger a fear-of-missing-out effect, bringing an influx of previously inactive retail investors as excitement over price movements grows.

Investors who understand XRP’s reputation are likely to respond rapidly if the price rises, potentially accelerating demand and pushing the asset higher during a rally.

Improved exchange access sets the stage for growth

Another core aspect of Versluis’ perspective is the significant improvement in how easily retail investors can now access XRP compared to previous cycles. He recalled the challenges of 2017, when acquiring XRP was far more complicated and often required navigating less accessible platforms.

He highlighted that XRP is now available on widely used trading services such as Coinbase and Phantom Wallet, along with platforms like Bitbase and Moon. This expanded access, in his view, lowers the barriers to entry for retail participants.

Versluis asserted that this ease of access could play a crucial role when the next rally arrives. With streamlined purchasing processes, pent-up retail demand may be able to materialize much faster.

Potential for price targets without institutional adoption

Versluis explained that, in his view, XRP could reach targets of $10 or $15 strictly through rising retail demand, without relying on widespread adoption by traditional banks or large financial entities. He described this as a personal analysis based on current market dynamics and investor sentiment.

He also referenced evolving trends in the tokenization of financial assets and increasing liquidity needs within digital markets. According to Versluis, these broader developments may further enhance XRP’s possible role as an effective bridge for cross-currency value transfers.

Additionally, he noted the spreading adoption of artificial intelligence and advanced translation tools, which could further facilitate international financial activity and underscore the importance of efficient global payment networks.

While acknowledging that major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are also likely to attract retail interest in a bullish scenario, Versluis contended that XRP enjoys a distinctive advantage due to its established recognition and user familiarity.

With more people knowing about $XRP and easier access than ever, retail demand alone could propel its price to new highs even absent direct bank involvement.

He summarized his position by calling XRP a “solid blue-chip asset,” reaffirming his belief in its favorable long-term outlook.
