In Brief:

  • XRP ETFs attracted $4.07 million on October 1, outperforming Ethereum funds as investors withdrew $55.37 million during the same session.
  • Franklin Templeton led XRP ETF inflows with $4.06 million, while Canary’s $3.18 million withdrawal offset Bitwise’s matching inflow.
  • Ethereum ETF cumulative net inflows reached $13.84 billion following withdrawals, while XRP funds registered $25.87 million in total trading volume.

XRP exchange-traded funds opened October with positive flows, beating Ethereum funds by $59.44 million during the first trading session. According to SoSoValue, XRP ETFs attracted $4.07 million on October 1, while Ethereum ETFs recorded $55.37 million in withdrawals.

The contrasting results placed XRP ahead on daily net flows following slower fund activity toward the end of September. XRP ETFs also registered $25.87 million in trading volume during the session, accompanying the return to positive capital flows.

Investors allocated money to Franklin Templeton and Bitwise products, but withdrawals from Canary reduced the combined total across XRP funds. Franklin attracted the largest inflow among the named issuers, contributing nearly all the capital retained by the group.

Meanwhile, Ethereum funds began the month with net withdrawals, bringing their cumulative net inflows to approximately $13.84 billion. Despite XRP’s stronger daily result, its net inflow remained modest compared with the amount investors withdrew from Ethereum products.

Franklin Leads XRP Inflows as Canary Withdrawals Offset Bitwise Allocations

Franklin Templeton’s XRP ETF attracted approximately $4.06 million, exceeding the $3.18 million that investors allocated to Bitwise’s product. Canary’s XRP ETF registered approximately $3.18 million in outflows, effectively offsetting Bitwise’s contribution to the group’s daily result.

Together, those movements left Franklin as the main contributor behind XRP ETFs’ reported $4.07 million aggregate net inflow. The breakdown showed differing investor activity across issuers, with two named funds attracting capital while another experienced withdrawals.

Bitwise’s positive result therefore did not translate into an equivalent increase in aggregate flows because Canary recorded matching redemptions. Franklin’s allocation exceeded Bitwise’s by approximately $880,000, placing it at the top of the named XRP funds for the session.

Ethereum’s $55.37 million withdrawal contrasted with those positive XRP allocations, creating the gap between the two ETF categories. Its cumulative $13.84 billion net inflow balance nevertheless remained positive following the session’s reduction in investor capital.

XRP finished October’s opening session with net additions, supported primarily by Franklin, while Ethereum funds recorded a negative daily balance.
