Spot ETFs linked to XRP have just recorded a fourth positive week. This dynamic contrasts with several more cautious signals that have recently appeared in the market. After a July marked by net inflows, flows slow sharply at the beginning of August. At the same time, the token price has approached an important support at 1 dollar. Investors are now monitoring the strength of this level, as analysts consider several scenarios for the next step.

In brief

  • XRP ETFs record a fourth consecutive week of gains.
  • July ended with 27.29 million dollars of net inflows.
  • Flows slow early August, with only about 1 million dollars of inflows.
  • XRP price fell back to 1.02 dollars, close to the key support of 1 dollar.

XRP ETFs extend their positive streak

In May and June, Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs recorded heavy outflows, sometimes amounting to several billion dollars. However, products linked to XRP resisted this general trend better. They had then aligned nine consecutive weeks of gains, despite only one negative week marked by a limited net outflow of 35,210 dollars, according to a CryptoPotato report.

July then started under pressure, with more than 7 million dollars of net withdrawals during the first full week. Yet investors returned in the following three weeks. Inflows reached 6.78 million, 8.15 million, and then 14.86 million dollars. In total, ETFs finished July with a net inflow of 27.29 million dollars.

Flows slow at the start of August

Despite this monthly performance, recent data calls for more caution. July represents the second weakest month for net inflows since January for the ETFs concerned. The beginning of August remains positive, but amounts remain modest with about one million dollars of actual inflows.

This evolution strongly contrasts with the combined performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, which attracted more than a billion dollars. Over the five sessions observed, two recorded no flows. On Wednesday, investors withdrew 3.58 million dollars, while inflows of 1.15 million on Monday and 3.45 million on Thursday only compensated partially for the outflows.

Price returns to test a key support

At the same time, the XRP price declined this week and approached a major technical level. The token fell to 1.04 dollars at the time of writing, very close to the support at 1 dollar. This drop comes as the vote on the CLARITY Act in the U.S. Senate was postponed, adding further pressure on the market.

Despite this setback, some analyses maintain a positive outlook for what lies ahead. According to their scenario, maintaining above 1 dollar could support a strong reversal. The rapid regain of 1.05 dollars is also a level watched to confirm this hypothesis. Other projections even mention a target of 50 dollars during a next bullish phase, but this perspective remains very ambitious at this stage.

The next development will therefore depend on the support’s ability to hold and the resumption of flows. If inflows remain weak, the progress could lack sustainable support. Conversely, a clearer return of capital and a break above 1.05 dollars would strengthen the recovery scenario. For now, the available data mainly shows a market divided between the resilience of XRP ETFs and price weakness.
