U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds reportedly extended their net inflow streak to 13 consecutive weeks, attracting approximately $11.3 million between October 5 and October 9 despite XRP losing more than 7% of its value.
The divergence highlights a growing disconnect between demand for regulated XRP investment products and the cryptocurrency's performance in the broader market.
XRP declined from approximately $1.52 to $1.40 during the week, briefly touching $1.32, while cumulative ETF inflows approached $1.8 billion.
XRP ETF Inflows Continue Despite 7% Price Drop
The latest weekly inflows were concentrated in a small number of investment products rather than distributed evenly across issuers.
Bitwise's XRP ETF reportedly attracted approximately $10.55 million, accounting for most of the week's positive flows. Franklin Templeton's XRPZ added roughly $4.1 million, while Canary Capital's XRPC recorded approximately $3.34 million in withdrawals.
The concentration is significant because removing Bitwise's contribution would leave less than $1 million in net inflows across the remaining products.
An independent calculation based on changes in issuer-reported holdings estimated approximately 7.9 million XRP in net additions during the week, equivalent to roughly $11.1 million at the relevant daily prices.
These purchases followed the earlier XRP ETF inflows of $110.49 million recorded during the final week of August, when XRP also struggled to maintain its price.
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Face Heavy Withdrawals
XRP's positive weekly fund flows contrasted with substantial redemptions from other cryptocurrency investment products.
During the same period, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reportedly lost approximately $681 million, while Ethereum funds experienced around $542 million in net withdrawals. Solana products also recorded approximately $24.8 million in outflows.
Together, the three categories saw roughly $1.25 billion withdrawn, compared with continued positive XRP fund flows.
This divergence follows earlier periods when XRP funds attracted investment while competing cryptocurrency ETFs experienced withdrawals.
