XRP Price Crash: Analyst Says Binance Hack Only Accelerated What Was Already Coming

The Binance hack has become the obvious explanation for XRP’s latest drop, but CasiTrades believes the chart was already warning that lower prices were coming.

The analyst argues that XRP had been repeatedly testing its lower trendline since October 24, weakening support before news of the Binance breach ever appeared.

Her point is not that the hack had no effect.

It is that the market structure was already fragile, and the headline accelerated a move that had already begun forming.

CasiTrades Says the XRP Chart Came First

We follow CasiTrades regularly at CaptainAltcoin because her XRP analysis tends to focus on clearly defined structure, Fibonacci levels and invalidation points rather than sensational targets.

Her latest argument goes back to October 2025.

At the time, XRP had spent weeks consolidating and repeatedly testing the lower boundary of its range. When tariff-related news hit, support finally broke and the market experienced a violent liquidation event.

She believes October 2026 looks similar.

XRP had again been leaning on its lower trendline several times before the Binance hack. In her view, each test weakened the level.

At the same time, several altcoins had already completed an initial Wave 1 recovery and were more than a week into Wave 2 corrections.

That meant deeper Fibonacci retracements were already part of her technical framework before the news arrived.

Did the Binance Hack Cause the XRP Drop?

CasiTrades’ answer is more nuanced than simply saying no.

The hack clearly created additional fear and selling pressure across crypto.

But she argues that bearish headlines often appear during Wave 2 corrections, when markets are already positioned for another move lower.

In that interpretation, the news acts as a catalyst rather than the original cause.

That is an important distinction.

A fragile chart can survive bad news if buyers are strong enough.

A market already testing support repeatedly is far more vulnerable when a major negative catalyst arrives.

XRP was in the second category.

This also fits her recent XRP price analysis, where she had already warned that the correction could extend toward $1.10 and possibly deeper before the larger bullish wave structure resumes.

The Manipulation Question

CasiTrades goes one step further and asks why large negative headlines seem to appear so often when market structure is already close to breaking down.

She says she is not claiming this proves that anyone deliberately timed the Binance news around the chart.

That caveat is important.

There is no evidence from the chart alone that the hack, its disclosure or the selloff was intentionally coordinated with XRP’s technical structure.

However, she clearly rejects the idea that the headline alone explains the price move.

In a reply to a follower who called markets manipulated, CasiTrades strongly agreed.

That is her opinion, not something established by the price data.

The more defensible part of her argument is simpler: markets often become technically vulnerable before a catalyst arrives, and the catalyst can then turn an existing weakness into a much faster decline.

What This Means for XRP Price

For XRP holders, the practical question is not whether the chart or the news deserves more blame.

It is whether the current support structure survives.

The first level I would watch is around $1.10, which CasiTrades has repeatedly identified as a major Fibonacci support area.

A hold there would keep the broader Wave 2 interpretation alive.

The clearer invalidation level is around $0.98.

CasiTrades has said that a new low below roughly $0.98 would reset her current wave count and delay the larger bullish Wave 3 scenario.

That gives the setup a much cleaner framework:

  • Around $1.10: key support and potential stabilization zone
  • Below $0.98: current bullish wave count is invalidated
  • Around $0.94-$0.87: deeper downside region if the correction extends

So I think CasiTrades’ broader point is useful even without accepting the manipulation theory.

The Binance hack may explain why the decline became so violent.

It does not necessarily explain why XRP was vulnerable to that decline in the first place.

The chart was already showing weakness.

The news simply arrived at a very bad time.
