XRP price is trading around $1.06 at press time. The token has been hovering near this level for days, with traders waiting for a breakout in either direction.

Popular analyst Ali Martinez believes everything comes down to this level for XRP price. Another analyst, Javon Marks, is calling for a 3X rally from current levels based on a technical breakout.

Ali Martinez: $1.06 Is the Single Most Important Level

Ali Martinez shared an URPD (UTXO Realized Price Distribution) chart showing where XRP holders acquired their tokens. The data is clear: $1.06 is by far the single largest bar on the chart – a massive concentration of supply was acquired right around the current XRP price.

This makes it an unusually significant level. A huge number of holders have their break-even point exactly here. Heavy secondary clusters sit at $1.64 and $1.35 , which means large blocks of supply acquired at higher prices. Holders there are currently underwater and may sell into any rally to “get back to even” – classic overhead resistance from trapped buyers.

Below current price, $0.80 and $0.62 also show meaningful accumulation clusters that would likely act as support if price falls. Holders who bought there are in profit at any price above those levels and have less incentive to panic-sell.

Why $1.06 matters so much: Because it is the single heaviest concentration of cost basis, it functions as a psychological and structural pivot. Lots of holders are exactly at breakeven here, which tends to produce increased volatility and decision-making – sell to avoid a loss versus buy more to average up – right at this level.

Martinez’s conclusion:

  • Hold $1.06 – bulls can target $1.35 and then $1.64
  • Lose $1.06 – the path opens toward $0.80 and potentially $0.62

Javon Marks: Breakout Confirmed – $3.50 Target in Play

Javon Marks weighed in with a more bullish take on the XRP price prediction. He tweeted:

“XRP has shown a clear breakout of a key resisting trend and prices, in response can be getting ready for a more than 3X from here back towards All Time Highs! With this break, prices could enter an over 211% uphill run to and beyond the target of $3.50. Ready for XRP’s return?”

His chart shows descending triangle spanning roughly a full year, from mid-2025 to mid-2026. The pattern features a series of lower highs compressing down against a rising support line from the 2025 lows.

Marks has marked a recent breakout above the upper declining trendline around the current price zone (~$1.08), which indicates price has just cleared the pattern’s resistance line after over a year of compression.

The $3.50 target is a classic measured-move projection. Taking the height of the triangle at its widest point (roughly $3.60 to $1.60) and projecting that same distance upward from the breakout point lands the target around $3.50 . That would represent a return to retest the prior all-time high area.

How the Two XRP Charts Complement Each Other

This is actually a strong combination for XRP traders because the two charts are independent data sources telling a related story.

The on-chain chart (Ali Martinez) explains why $1.06 specifically matters – a massive holder concentration and cost basis at that exact price.

The technical chart (Javon Marks) explains what happens if that level holds – a confirmed pattern breakout with a specific measured target of $3.50.

Where Could XRP Price Go From Here?

The two analysts agree on the importance of the current level. The difference is in the next move.

Bullish scenario: the XRP price holds $1.0 and breaks above $1.08 with volume. The next targets are $1.35 , then $1.64 . Javon Marks sees a measured-move target of $3.50 if the breakout confirms.

Bearish scenario: the XRP price loses $1.06 . The next support levels are $0.80 and then $0.62 . A break below $1.06 would trigger selling from holders who are exactly at breakeven.

My take: The $1.06 level is the most important support on the XRP chart. The on-chain data confirms that a massive number of holders have their cost basis here. A breakdown would be significant. A breakout above $1.08 with volume would confirm the bullish thesis and open the door to $1.35 and beyond.

The Clarity Act remains stalled, ETF flows are mixed, and geopolitical tensions are still a wildcard. Javon Marks’ $3.50 target is possible in a strong bull cycle, but that is not the chart in front of us today. The immediate level is $1.06.
