Key takeaways

  • XRP plunges 10% to an 11-week low
  • Failed $1.35 rebound exposes renewed selling pressure
  • Losing $1.18 could trigger further declines

XRP crashed approximately 10% on November 6, falling to an 11-week low near $1.18 as a brief recovery toward $1.35 collapsed during a broader cryptocurrency market selloff.

The selloff also dragged Bitcoin toward $75,300 and Ethereum below $2,220, reversing much of the recovery that followed the US midterm elections. XRP's market capitalization fell to approximately $75.3 billion, reflecting another sharp deterioration in investor sentiment.

XRP Loses $1.20 Support After Failed $1.35 Breakout

The latest decline followed a short-lived rally that pushed XRP toward $1.35 on November 4.

However, buyers failed to sustain the move, allowing sellers to reclaim control as the cryptocurrency slipped through $1.30 and subsequently broke below the psychologically important $1.20 level.

The reversal comes after earlier XRP whale activity raised concerns about exchange selling. Large-holder movements do not necessarily translate into immediate sales, but they can amplify uncertainty during market corrections.

Institutional demand has also provided limited support.

Recent XRP ETF flow data showed cumulative net inflows near $1.81 billion, although several sessions recorded little or no fresh investment activity.

That distinction matters because substantial historical inflows do not guarantee continued buying when prices weaken.

Meanwhile, the broader cryptocurrency market has struggled to maintain its post-election rebound. Bitcoin had briefly reclaimed $80,000, but renewed selling subsequently undermined risk appetite across major digital assets.

XRP's immediate outlook depends on whether buyers can defend the $1.18 area, which coincides with its latest intraday low.

Technical data from November 6 identify nearby support around $1.1766, followed by approximately $1.14 and $1.12.

A sustained breakdown below $1.18 could expose these lower levels, particularly if Bitcoin continues declining and cryptocurrency liquidations accelerate.

Conversely, XRP needs to recover $1.22–$1.24 to demonstrate that selling pressure is beginning to ease.

A stronger recovery above $1.25 could reopen the path toward $1.30, although the failed $1.35 breakout remains an important obstacle for bulls.

The daily relative strength index was near 33 during the morning session, indicating weak momentum and approaching conventional oversold territory. However, oversold conditions alone do not establish that a bottom has formed.

Despite the correction, development across the XRP ecosystem continues. The network recently activated a security upgrade, while Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin activity reflects ongoing institutional infrastructure expansion.
