Morgan Stanley disclosed exposure to XRP(XRP) through three ETFs while the token struggles near $1 after losing more than 10% this week and almost 70% in 2026.
Key Points:
- Q2 filings showed Morgan Stanley exposure through three XRP-linked funds.
- Other investment managers also reported XRP ETF holdings despite the token’s steep 2026 decline.
- A 0.86 Taker Buy/Sell Ratio and elevated futures open interest point to continued downside risk.
XRP ETF Holdings
Morgan Stanley’s Q2 2026 Form 13F showed positions in three XRP-linked ETFs: 6,715 shares of Franklin’s fund, 255 shares of REX-Osprey’s ETF and 67 shares of Bitwise’s ETF. A larger position appeared in Armada Acquisition Corp II, Ripple-backed Evernorth Holdings’ SPAC partner.
Other investment firms reported larger positions in XRP products. Wolverine Asset Management held 199,912 shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF, while Gallacher Capital Management reported 86,744 shares of Canary’s fund and Main Street Group held 5,261 shares of the same product.
Moisand Fitzgerald Tamayo held 964 Franklin XRP ETF shares, while National Bank of Canada disclosed 3,848 shares of Bitwise’s XRP fund.
Taken together, the filings show that several institutions maintained exposure to XRP-linked exchange-traded products even as the token’s market performance weakened sharply.

ChartNerd XRP Outlook
The market picture remains less supportive. XRP’s Taker Buy/Sell Ratio has fallen to about 0.86, its lowest level since May, and has stayed below 1 for most of the recent period, indicating stronger selling pressure in derivatives.
Futures open interest stands at 435.1 million units, above the 403.6 million 30-day average, while a +1.20σ Z-score supports the assessment that “leverage is still stacked.” That leaves XRP vulnerable to a liquidation cascade if prices fall further.
ChartNerd identified $1.24 as the level XRP needs to reclaim to improve its structure. If that does not happen, the analyst pointed to the $0.90-$0.70 range as a possible accumulation zone and expects a retest of the three-month 40 EMA to help form a stronger base.
The pattern echoes setups ChartNerd highlighted in 2023 and 2024, when similar three-month 40 EMA retests preceded firmer price structures and stronger support. XRP’s latest weakness, however, comes after a decline of almost 70% in 2026, with the token still struggling to establish sustained demand around the $1 area.
