XRP's $85K Average Transaction Size Points to Surging Institutional Demand

XRP is flashing one of its clearest signs of growing institutional adoption. According to market analyst Xaif Crypto, the average transaction on the XRP Ledger has reached $85,290, the highest among the top 10 cryptocurrencies by a wide margin. By comparison, Bitcoin averages about $10,600 per transaction, while Ethereum sits near $2,930.

Unlike transaction volume, average transaction size measures the amount of value transferred with each on-chain payment.

When this figure climbs this high, it typically signals large capital movements rather than increased retail activity.

Transfers of this magnitude are commonly linked to institutional participants such as asset managers, exchanges, payment providers, custodians, OTC trading desks, and corporate treasuries.

These organizations routinely move large sums for settlement, liquidity management, portfolio rebalancing, and custody, making high-value transactions a strong indicator of institutional usage.

Nevertheless, this doesn't mean XRP processes more transactions than Bitcoin or Ethereum. Instead, it shows the XRP Ledger is settling significantly larger amounts of value per transaction, a distinction that often reflects enterprise adoption and real-world financial activity rather than speculative trading.

Interestingly, this trend comes as institutional momentum around XRP continues to accelerate.

Evernorth Moves Closer to Becoming the Largest Public XRP Treasury Company

Evernorth Holdings recently filed Amendment No. 5 to its S-4 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, moving a step closer to completing its SPAC merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. If approved, the combined company is expected to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN.

The filing also underscores Evernorth's long-term strategy. Chief Legal Officer Jessica Jonas is set to receive a $400,000 base salary, a 50% target bonus, and $4.5 million in restricted stock units (RSUs), while Chief Business Officer Sagar Shah and Chief Operating Officer Megumi Nakamura will each receive $300,000 base salaries, 50% target bonuses, and $2.8 million in RSUs.

The equity-heavy compensation structure aligns executive incentives with long-term shareholder value and reinforces Evernorth's ambition to become the largest publicly traded XRP treasury company.

Similar to Bitcoin treasury firms, the company plans to accumulate XRP as a strategic balance-sheet asset rather than actively trade it, potentially reducing circulating supply while giving traditional investors indirect exposure to XRP.

Institutional demand is also evident on-chain. Binance has recorded its highest-ever XRP exchange outflow transaction count, while U.S. spot XRP ETFs have attracted more than $1.5 billion in net inflows since launch. Historically, large exchange outflows indicate investors are moving assets into private custody instead of leaving them on exchanges for sale, tightening available supply.

More notably, these developments point to the same conclusion. Record-high transaction values, rising ETF inflows, unprecedented exchange outflows, and Evernorth's treasury strategy all suggest institutional participation in XRP is gathering pace.

What’s next? Well, the convergence of these trends strengthens the case that XRP is evolving beyond speculation into a preferred network for large-scale capital transfers and an increasingly important bridge between traditional finance and digital assets.
