XRP, the digital asset powering the Ripple network, has returned to positive territory, with its price recovering above $1.13. Recent onchain data indicate a notable shift in investor sentiment, as a sharp decline in large transactions is beginning to signal a more bullish outlook among market participants.

Whale inflows at record low

According to data from CryptoQuant, a leading crypto analytics platform, whale inflows of XRP to Binance—the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume—have dropped to their lowest level since January 2025. Whale inflows refer to significant deposits by large-scale holders, often seen as signals of potential selling pressure in the market.

The data reveal that the volume of XRP transferred by these major holders to Binance has plunged dramatically. Over recent months, these inflows have fallen from a previous high of 583 million XRP, valued at approximately $1.36 billion, down to only 25.3 million XRP, worth around $23 million.

This substantial reduction reflects changing trends in how the largest XRP holders are managing their tokens. As fewer large transfers hit the exchange, analysts interpret this as a decrease in intentions to sell, which in turn may help support the price recovery seen in recent days.

Supply dynamics on Binance

Whale inflows on Binance have also dropped over the longer term, as the 90-day moving average of these deposits has decreased significantly. In January, the rolling average stood at approximately $460 million, but has now fallen to about $69 million.

As large holders reduce their deposits on Binance, the available XRP supply on the exchange is tightening. This trend typically signifies growing confidence among major investors, as fewer are choosing to liquidate their positions.

Market observers often regard shrinking exchange balances, especially among whales, as a precursor to potential price appreciation. If this trend persists, XRP may continue to see upward momentum in the weeks ahead.
