XRP(XRP) rebounded above $1.45 after the CLARITY Act Senate setback, while large-holder wallets accumulated about 1.54 billion tokens in four days, Santiment data cited by Ali Martinez showed.
Key Points:
- XRP whales accumulated about 1.54 billion tokens over roughly 96 hours, a position worth close to $2 billion at recent prices.
- The buying began around the Senate CLARITY setback, after XRP dropped to $1.27 Tuesday before rebounding above $1.45 by Friday and Saturday.
- Technical analysts now point to $1.70 and $1.88 as immediate resistance levels, while longer-range projections extend much higher.
XRP Whale Accumulation
Martinez said the large wallets acquired roughly 1.54 billion XRP, worth close to $2 billion at recent prices, after the token weakened following the Sept. 15 Senate vote on the CLARITY Act.
The Senate rejected cloture on the motion to proceed by a 49-50 vote, short of the three-fifths threshold required to advance the bill. XRP fell to $1.27 on Tuesday after the vote.
By Friday and Saturday, the token had moved back above $1.45, while Martinez said the accumulation could “translate into price action, leading to a bullish breakout.” He has also pointed to $2 as a potential psychological target if momentum continues.

Price Targets
Crypto Patel said XRP remains above what he called a “major long-term accumulation zone” on the two-week chart and has reclaimed its broader market structure. His scenario puts $1.70 as the first major resistance, followed by $3, with a longer-term target of $10 or higher.
Dark Defender separately described XRP’s five-wave structure as “rock solid” after the token moved above resistance that had limited previous breakout attempts. The analyst identified $1.70 and $1.88 as the next levels to watch.
The whale buying has also coincided with signs that recent selling pressure may be easing, adding weight to the analysts’ focus on whether XRP can extend its rebound. Still, the cited targets remain technical projections, not confirmed outcomes.
That focus on $1.70 has a recent precedent because the level already stopped a sharp advance. XRP surged about 70% in less than 72 hours in mid-August before its rally stalled near $1.70, making the area a reference point for the latest recovery.
