@Zebec_HQ has made Aleo-native payment streaming live in the Zebec SuperApp, with streams denominated in USDCx and USAD on Aleo (@AleoHQ). On Aleo, streams can be set to private, so wallet addresses and amounts stay out of public view, unlike on most blockchains where they are visible to anyone.
How the private streams work
Payment streaming releases funds to a recipient continuously rather than in a single transfer, a model often used for payroll and recurring payments. Zebec's public code repository for the Aleo stream program says every stream can run in public or private mode, chosen at creation. In private mode, sender, receiver, amount and schedule are kept in encrypted records, and only a stream's existence and coarse status are public. Privacy is therefore an option for each stream rather than a default for all of them.
The repository also shows how private streams are found: a wallet scans its unspent token records rather than reading a public on-chain list.
Private transfers of USDCx and USAD also carry a compliance check. They require a zero-knowledge proof that the sender is not on the stablecoin's freeze list. This comes from the stablecoins' transfer rules rather than from a Zebec design choice, and Zebec's Aleo SDK implements it for both tokens, according to the same repository.
The streaming launch follows Zebec's earlier Aleo Card, which lets users spend $ALEO. At that launch, Zebec listed USDCx and USAD support as coming soon. The new streaming product delivers on that support.
