Three tokens are standing out for the wrong reasons this week. $LIT, $ZEC, and $DASH have posted the steepest weekly losses among crypto majors, according to @BSCNews, with declines of 25%, 20%, and 17% respectively. Kaspa (KAS) and @Plasma's XPL are close behind.
LIT Takes the Hardest Hit
@Lighter_xyz's native token $LIT leads the group lower. LIT fell sharply after Robinhood chose Bitstamp over Lighter for its US perpetuals offering, a decision that triggered an initial drop of around 17% on its own. The token has continued to slide from there. LIT dropped 13% in a single day and is down roughly 26% on the week, ranking last in DeFi price performance while the broader category averaged weekly gains.
Lighter is a decentralized perpetual futures exchange built as a custom zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum L2, running a central limit order book with zero trading fees.A competitive analysis published this week placed Lighter against rivals Hyperliquid and Aster, noting its zero-fee model and zk-proven execution but also that it trails significantly in daily volume and open interest.
Zcash and Dash Pull Back From Recent Highs
@Zcash's $ZEC has given back roughly 20% over the past seven days. The Grayscale Zcash ETF recorded its first week of net outflows since launching in August, with investors withdrawing $93.6 million as ZEC's price fell toward $1,300.Continued withdrawals could put further pressure on ZEC, although they do not explain the entire price decline. Despite the pullback, the longer-term picture for Zcash remains striking: over the past year, Zcash has gained 1,077%, making it one of the standout performers in the broader crypto market.
@Dashpay's $DASH is down 17% over the same period. Dash had broken key multi-year levels earlier in the cycle alongside Zcash, drawing fresh momentum as traders rotated out of overheated AI and meme tokens. The current pullback appears to reflect profit-taking rather than any project-specific negative development, with broader macro conditions adding pressure across the altcoin space.
With KAS and XPL also in the red, the losses point to a broader rotation or risk-off move among mid- and large-cap altcoins this week, even as Bitcoin has held relatively steady.
