Zcash is gaining traction after recovering toward the $1,200 level. The move comes at an important time for the privacy-focused cryptocurrency. Traders are balancing optimism around the upcoming Network Upgrade 7 with concerns about weakening momentum and recent market volatility. While price remains below recent highs, growing attention around faster transactions and network improvements has placed ZEC back on many investors' watchlists.

ZEC Faces Key Technical Test

ZEC climbed about 2.6% on October 25 and traded near $1,184. Despite that rebound, the token remains down more than 25% over the past month. Recent trading has been anything but smooth. In the last 24 hours, ZEC moved between roughly $1,120 and $1,223. Trading volume approached $575 million, highlighting strong market participation. The token also gained more than 5% over the past week.

Technical signals remain mixed. Sellers still hold the advantage for now. ZEC trades below the 20-day moving average near $1,214. Buyers have not yet regained control of that level. Momentum has improved slightly. The Relative Strength Index stands near 47. That reading suggests recovery efforts continue, though stronger buying pressure remains necessary. Support sits between $1,175 and $1,180.

Below that range, traders are watching $1,100 and $1,084. If those levels break, attention could shift toward $1,000. Resistance remains equally important. A move above $1,214 could strengthen bullish sentiment. Such a breakout may open the path toward $1,300. Market analysts remain divided. Some expect further weakness below current levels. Others believe the recent pullback has created an attractive setup before the next move higher.

NU7 Upgrade Could Shape Market Sentiment

The upcoming Network Upgrade 7 has become the biggest talking point surrounding Zcash. Activation is expected around November 5, drawing growing attention from traders and node operators. One major improvement involves transaction speed. The upgrade reduces the target block interval from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. Users could receive confirmations about three times faster. NU7 also introduces changes to fee allocation.

Part of transaction fees will support future block rewards. However, the upgrade does not affect the fixed 21 million coin supply. Node operators must install compatible software before activation. Preparations are already underway throughout the network. Additional developments have supported long-term interest in Zcash. Earlier upgrades strengthened supply accounting protections and introduced quantum-recovery features.

Meanwhile, a proposed spot ZCash fund remains under regulatory review. ZEC has rebounded toward a critical price zone ahead of a major network event. Buyers must reclaim resistance near $1,214 to improve momentum. The NU7 upgrade could help strengthen sentiment through faster confirmations and network enhancements. For now, traders remain focused on whether ZEC can build enough strength to sustain the recovery.
