Following a 50 per cent telecom tariff increase approval by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), major Nigerian telecom operators: MTN, Airtel, Globacom, and 9Mobile have announced new voice and data prices.
Although the move has been openly opposed by notable pressure groups such as the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), the National Association of Telecommunications Subscribers (NATCOMS) and others, it is clear that the new price regime has come to stay.
As data prices change across mobile operators, subscribers need to surf for new data plans that offer the best at affordable rates.
This article provides an updated data prices list for four major mobile network operators in Nigeria, as made available on their mobile applications and USSD dials (*312#).
