Three Things to Know

  • Binance wants ArbitrumDAO to release a large block of frozen ETH and ARB tied to a hack.
  • ARB's daily bounce has stalled right at its 50-day average, while momentum still leans lower.
  • A move through the next resistance would tell traders whether the rebound has real legs.

Binance has formally asked ArbitrumDAO to hand back frozen crypto linked to a past hack. The decision now rests with Arbitrum's token holders and their governance vote.

The request comes as ARB stages a sharp short-term rebound after a weak month. A release could return millions of tokens to circulation, which traders see as potential new supply. Traders now want to see whether buyers can turn this bounce into a breakout before the DAO decides.

Binance Asks ArbitrumDAO to Unfreeze Hacked ETH and ARB

Binance has asked ArbitrumDAO to return 8,426 ETH and 74.56 million ARB linked to a hack. The DAO froze those funds, and the exchange now wants them released.

The request puts the call in the hands of Arbitrum's token holders. Any release would have to pass through the DAO's governance process. That makes the case a live test of how a decentralized body responds when a centralized exchange claims recovered assets.

Traders are also watching supply. Some are weighing whether released tokens could later reach the open market.

The price moved early on Nov. 6. ARB rose 4.02% in one hour to trade near $0.1631 on Binance spot around 00:55 UTC. That left its market value near $1.095 billion, ranking it 71st among crypto assets.

ARB now trades near $0.17, up about 7% over the past 24 hours. That move carried the token straight into its 50-day moving average. The 50-day average tracks the mean closing price over roughly the last ten weeks, so traders treat it as a gauge of the medium-term trend.

The price has stalled right on that line. ARB still sits slightly below it, which means the average acts as a ceiling for now. Buyers need a clean daily close above it before the rebound can count as more than a short squeeze.

Over a longer horizon, the picture looks steadier. ARB holds above its 200-day moving average near $0.15, a slower line that reflects the trend across most of the past year. Staying above it keeps the broader structure intact and gives bulls a floor to lean on if the bounce fades.

The weekly numbers help only partly. ARB has gained about 9% over seven days. Over the past month, the token is still down around 16%. The bounce has clawed back part of that slide, yet sellers remain ahead on the monthly scorecard.

That mix leaves ARB in a holding pattern, with the medium-term trend still unturned.

Momentum Has Not Caught Up With the Bounce Yet

The momentum gauges tell a cooler story than the price action. ARB's daily RSI, a 0 to 100 gauge of buying and selling pressure, reads about 48. That puts it squarely in neutral territory. The token is neither overheated after the jump nor oversold from the earlier slide.

Another gauge, the MACD, compares short and longer price averages and still sits below its signal line. In plain terms, momentum is still pointing down. The underlying pressure has not flipped in favor of buyers yet.

Trend strength readings show no strong trend in either direction. Markets in that state tend to chop sideways between nearby levels. For now, that favors range trading over a clean breakout, and traders may want confirmation before treating the pop as a new uptrend.

Why $0.19 Decides the 12% Rally Case

The nearest resistance sits near $0.19, about 12% above the current price. That is the level behind the rally scenario in focus. A move there would first require ARB to clear its 50-day ceiling, then hold gains through a zone where sellers have stepped in before.

A clean finish above that level would change the picture. It would show buyers can do more than recover lost ground. The next resistance then waits near $0.21, which would become the following target if volume backs the move.

The downside map is just as clear. Support lines up with the 200-day average, so that floor carries extra weight for traders.

Losing that floor would be a warning sign. The next support sits near $0.13, and a slide there would erase the recent bounce and reopen the monthly downtrend.

Breakout or Fade Over the Next Three Days

Two paths stand out for ARB over the next three trading days.

  • Bullish: Buyers push through the 50-day ceiling and secure a daily close above first resistance. That would open the way toward the next ceiling. The setup fails if ARB slips back under the 200-day floor.
  • Bearish: Sellers reject the price at the 50-day average and force a close below the 200-day support. That would put the lower support zone in play. The scenario breaks if ARB instead closes above first resistance.

The Rally Needs Proof Above Resistance

ARB's rebound remains unconfirmed until buyers clear first resistance. Until then, the move reads as a recovery inside a range.

The governance decision adds a separate risk. If ArbitrumDAO votes to release the frozen tokens, any sales from that block would add supply just as buyers try to push higher.
