Binance will suspend cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals on September 22 while completing an upgrade to its wallet infrastructure. According to the exchange’s announcement, maintenance will begin at 06:00 UTC and should take one hour, while trading remains available across Binance.
Customers can manage their positions during maintenance, and transfers will reopen once Binance confirms the upgraded system operates reliably and securely. However, Binance will not announce service restoration, so customers planning urgent transfers should monitor availability because the restriction only affects fund movements.

Besides the wallet upgrade, Binance will remove four trading pairs at 03:00 UTC on September 18 following periodic reviews. Affected markets include BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC and QNT/USDC, reflecting liquidity, volume and market quality.
Removing these pairs will not eliminate their underlying assets because customers can use other supported markets available on Binance Spot. Additionally, several margin trading pairs will leave the platform at 06:00 UTC on September 18 under a separate schedule.
Cross-margin removals include ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, GUN/USDC and VANA/USDC, while GENIUS/USDC will also leave isolated margin trading. Customers holding affected margin positions should review deadlines and settle loans before Binance completes the scheduled market removals.
Moreover, Binance will cease every Pax Dollar spot market on September 24 at 03:00 UTC following another review. These adjustments operate independently from wallet maintenance, although their scheduling creates several important deadlines for active Binance users.
Consequently, customers should distinguish between the September 22 transfer suspension and pair removals scheduled for September 18 and September 24. The wallet interruption should remain limited to one hour, although Binance will restore services only after completing stability checks. Customers can trade during the upgrade, but deposits and withdrawals will remain unavailable until the infrastructure meets operational requirements.
