Binance has announced its decision to delist four altcoins from its platform. The affected cryptocurrencies are AirDAO (AMB), CLV (CLV), StormX (STMX), and VITE (VITE), which will cease operations on February 24, 2025. This decision comes as part of Binance’s routine reviews where they identify projects that do not meet specific criteria. Factors such as trading volume, liquidity, and the commitments of project teams are taken into consideration when determining which altcoins will be removed from the listing.
On February 24, 2025, Binance will eliminate all spot trading pairs for AMB, CLV, STMX, and VITE. The specific pairs to be removed include AMB/USDT, CLV/BTC, CLV/USDT, STMX/TRY, STMX/USDT, and VITE/USDT. After this date, trading will no longer be possible, and any open orders will be automatically canceled. Users must keep the “Hide Small Balances” option disabled to ensure their assets are visible in their wallets.
Additionally, coin deposits for AMB, CLV, STMX, and VITE made after February 25, 2025, will not be credited to accounts. However, withdrawal operations will continue until April 24, 2025. After this date, Binance may convert the delisted altcoins to stablecoins, but this is not guaranteed. A separate announcement regarding the conversion process will be made later.
Furthermore, Binance Futures will close futures contracts for AMBUSDT and STMXUSDT on February 21, 2025. Users are advised to close their positions beforehand. Similarly, the margin trading section of Binance will remove AMB, CLV, STMX, and VITE from cross and isolated margin on February 20, 2025. Users should settle their debts prior to this date to avoid risks.
Binance recommends that users holding the delisted altcoins take precautions to avoid losses before the specified dates. Trading, margin, and futures positions should be closed, and affected altcoins should be transferred to spot wallets. Users need to regularly check their accounts to keep up with developments regarding the delisted altcoins. Binance has also indicated that additional measures may be taken in certain situations to ensure user security.
