- Gaming ranks second with a 33% increase (SAND, AXS, MANA...)
- Veteran public chains come in third with a 23.8% increase (ADA, VeChain, IOTA...)
What Indicators Signal the Arrival of Altcoin Season?
How can we determine whether altcoin season has arrived or if it's just a bull trap? One indicator we can observe is BTC.D (Bitcoin Dominance).
When altcoin season arrives, the price of Bitcoin will gradually be surpassed by other coins, causing BTC.D to gradually decline from its high. In particular, when BTC.D begins to fall sharply from its peak, it usually signifies that market funds are flowing into altcoins, a crucial signal for the start of altcoin season.
Historically, the period when BTC.D falls below 50% and further declines to the 40% level may be the best time to capture the surge in altcoins. Currently, BTC.D has dropped from over 60% in recent days to the current 59.37%, but it is still quite a distance from 50%. In fact, BTC.D has not fallen below 50% this year.
