The planned snowboarding game explores fan rewards as a companion documentary heads toward pre-production
NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2026 — IPX today announced that Jack Mitrani, former Burton professional snowboarder and X Games host, is joining the company as Vice President of Action Sports, expanding IPX’s work with athletes and creators across snowboarding, skateboarding and action-sports culture.
In this role, Mitrani will help develop athlete-led projects and bring talent onto IPX, a platform being built to connect original intellectual property with production, sponsorship, distribution and fan participation.
Mitrani’s first announced project with IPX is a planned iPhone snowboarding game “Shred City”, inspired by snowboarding favorites “SSX Tricky” and “1080° Snowboarding.” The game aims to translate the energy and community of action sports into a mobile experience. A companion documentary is also planned to enter pre-production.
“Some of my favorite memories in snowboarding have nothing to do with competition or scores. They’re about riding with frends, pushing each other to progress, and enjoying each other’s company. We’ve been through experiences, challenges, and moments that most people could never imagine, and having each other’s backs through it all is what makes these frendships so special. We’ve always said there’s no ‘I’ in frends, because it’s never been about the individual. It’s about the people you share the journey with. That’s the spirit we want to bring to “Shred City”. I’m stoked to partner with IPX to bring that energy to life, tell the stories that make snowboarding so special, and help other athletes build something authentic to the culture we love.” — Jack Mitrani
The project proposes a token on IPX that could support fan rewards tied to the game. Potential sources of funding for rewards include in-game purchases, advertising and paid upgrades. The game’s release date, token mechanics, reward details and availability remain subject to confirmation, platform readiness and applicable legal review.
“Jack grew up in snowboarding and then spent years explaining it to everyone else from the X Games desk,” said Brendan McCafferty, founder and CEO of IPX. “There is nobody better to bring action sports onto IPX.”
