Casper Network halts the network after discovering a significant security breach

Casper Network has suspended its network operations in response to a security incident, as declared by the smart contracts blockchain platform.

The platform collaborated with validators to minimize the potential consequences of the compromise and suspended operations until the vulnerability was fixed.

The team said on X: Casper Association, Casper Labs, and the Validators/community are actively working to resolve the issue. The network has been halted and the security breach is contained. The issue has been identified and a solution is being worked on. Further updates will be provided."

The temporary network interruption will persist until the security team resolves the vulnerability. The Casper Association, Casper Labs, and the crypto project's validator community are collaborating to tackle the issue.

Casper Network has verified that the team has recognized and controlled the problem, but is currently in the process of developing a solution and will continue to inform the community with additional information. The current trading price of the Casper (CSPR) token is approximately $0.019.
